1. In illustrations # 5 and 6 (p 11), choose at least one each to reflect and react based on
your personal interpretation in the context of UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR. Reflections
and reactions may point out the specific number from Johnston's 10 ethics of right or
wrong behavior. Give only one paragraph in this number.
A concern about employee safety is raised at a business meeting, but the issue is not immediately
assessed. When the concern is validated, employees are not immediately informed, and they are
REFLECTION
The employee expressed a worry, but it was not resolved. Nowadays, it is rather typical for people
to handle problems that have already arisen in situations like this one. In which case, if the problem
were to be resolved properly right away, it would avert undesirable events or, if handled properly,
it may increase firm revenues. According to the adage "prevention is better than cure," problems
can be avoided if they are handled immediately when they arise to avoid complications. I have

1. Using Johnston's ten ethics as guide, suggest to correct the unethical behaviors
in illustration 5 and 6. Do this in only one paragraph.
In illustration 5, section 1, as this situation, we must know the essence of Relative Truth.
A person must be aware that their own point of view may not be shared by others. They might

Accountability. In illustration 5, section 4, using the Johnston’s ten ethics, we must know the
essence of Mutuality and Accountability. Mutuality per se, means paying attention of others and
as well as to ours, which basically would mean that we must talk when it concerns the health and
safety of the others and as well as to ours. Talk and listen. Be accountable. In illustration 6,
section 1, Situation would show that the employee recommended the customers to buy the large
toasters, which he violated its business rules. Hold him accountable, face his consequences and
learn. In illustration 6, section 2, the situation would basically acknowledge the end vs means,
which it pertains ethical preservation. Lastly, in illustration 6, section 3, the employee must
balance his/her rights against his/her responsibilities even he/she live in a wonderful society where
his/her rights are protected by law; not everything he/she have a right to do is ethical. Rights vs
Responsibilities.
