The Fintech Academy started in 2017, with a team of nine people with
t h e s a m e p u r p o s e – d i s r u p t i n g t h e f i n a n c i a l s e c t o r.
D u r i n g t h e f i r s t F i n t e c h A c a d e m y, B i G c o n f i r m e d t h e u n d e n i a b l e t r u t h :
there is much to be done before the banking sector can reach its peak.
We started fosterin g th e b elief th at tec h n olog ical in n ovation is th e
building block for that growth and that we must develop new ideas in
o r d e r t o c o n q u e r.
That is why the Fintech Academy did not end in 2017. It became a
yearly internship to foster the knowledge on the digital transformation
o f t h e b a n k i n g i n d u s t r y.
Through these three years, we saw people from all around the world
c o m e h e r e t o l e a r n , t o w o r k , t o t r a n s f o r m , t o g r o w.

OUR GOALS
Fintech Academy is a summer internship aimed at bringing the best practices
from leading Fintech players to the digital transformation of the banking
sector by cooperating with these companies. The program has the duration of
one month (between the 5th July – 6th August)
