Re: Canadian Society for the Advancement of Science in Public Policy v. Her
Majesty the Queen in Right of the Province of British Columbia et al,
SCBC Vancouver Registry File No. S210831

We are counsel to the plaintiff in the above noted matter.

Please provide this letter to Justice Crerar who is assigned as the Judicial Management
Judge in the above noted action under the Class Proceedings Act.

Further to our letter dated June 5, 2023, and subject to the Court’s direction, the parties
have agreed that the new proposed further amended claim can be addressed by way of
written submissions only. If the Court agrees, then no further appearance (including the
JMC)would be necessary.

The parties have agreed to the following schedule with respect to submissions relating to
the plaintiff's proposed further amended notice of civil claim (a copy of which was
delivered to the Supreme Court Scheduling on June 6, 2023):

● September 1, 2023: Defendants file and serve their further written submissions.
● September 15, 2023: Plaintiff files and serves its further written submissions.
● September 29, 2023: Defendants file and serve their reply, if any.

The parties have further agreed to limit the submissions to 12 pages(1.5 spaced, 12 font)
for main submissions and 6 pages in reply.
