LOGIC SELECTIVITY 53

This function it’s NOT provided by an external module (accessories on demand)

but it gets enabled connecting more devices together

ATTENTION:
The operating mode of logical selectivity present
on new MCCBs S10 (but also for new ACBs) is
different than the old one in order to make it more
effective in the different work conditions.
Anyway two different logics (OLD and NEW) can work

Breaker B doesn’t receive signals from any other
downstream breakers so it trips respecting the delay

125-250 – DIAGNOSTICS AFTER FAULTS 61
In case of protection unit tripping, it’s necessary to verify:

❑ General device and installation state (presence of conductive dust, burning signs,
insulation losses, breakings...);
❑ If the device has an integrated RCD, verify the tripping indicator: if yellow, the
device has protected an earth leakeage fault.
The entity of fault can be checked only on ELE+RCD devices by means of USB port
or display, if present).
❑ If the device has an electronic release S10, verify the protection unit display in
order to quickly confirm if the device has protected an overcurrent fault (last
trip menu page). For more details, it’s always possible to connect the device to a PC
or mobile device by mini USB port, in order to check the full hystory log with details on
phases/protections involved.
For S1 devices, the last trip indication and the trip log can be checked only by
means of SERVICE port (S1) by Technical Assistance and Service team.
