I. WASTE DISPOSAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATION

The proposed One Stop Quick Fix Shop business will have the following ways of
disposing waste in order in accordance to rules and regulations of Municipality to
help the community and also to become an eco-friendly shop.

 To eliminate plastic which the Local Government Unit of Atimonan

implemented, a Municipal Ordinance entitles “Regulations That
Prohibits the Use and Selling of Plastic Bag, Cellophane or Styrofoam
(Polyethylene) as Packaging for Products Purchased”, encourages the
use of biodegradable packaging for products purchased within the town
of Atimonan , province of Quezon; authored by Maria Aurora Tamayo,
the management will follow the rules and regulations content of the Act.
The proposed One Stop Quick Fix Shop business will use paper bags for
wrapping the repair services except for bags.

 The manager and the cobbler will also wear a face mask to avoid the bad
smell of rugby and other things used in repairing that can affect the
health of the individual in the shop. The management will allow the
people who wait for their services to wear a face mask or cover their
nose using handkerchief for their safety.

 Since the waste is non-biodegradable, there will be one trash bins or

waste container used in the proposed business so it easy for the
Barangay garbage collector to sort the garbage.

 Leather takes approximately 25 to 50 years to biodegrade. Each year,

millions of shoes are thrown in the garbage. So, aside from customer
benefits, shoe repairs are beneficial for the environment as they reduce
waste compared to disposing shoes, which are certainly not
biodegradable. Shoes are very difficult to recycle because they’re often
made of different materials. By using a shoe repair service, were not
only keeping them out of the landfills but also lowering the amount of
resources used to make new shoes. The proposed One Stop Quick Fix
Shop business strongly focus on eco-friendly processes in the daily
operations of the business and make sure that it contribute to saving the
earth.
