The thesis “LEISURE RESORT AT TALTALIYA” is an attempt to develop the
recently developing area for enhancing the tourism in that area. A resort is a full-
service lodging facility that provides access to or offers a range of amenities and
recreation facilities to emphasize a leisure experience.
For the design of resort, I have used mainly two phases of the study. Firstly, Research
phase which includes Literature review and C
spatial needs and requirements on related design. This helps the project to observe the
condition, features, organization of existing resorts and literature review helps to
compare with them. Here planning, position of building was leamt. The spaces
needed was visualized.
study which focuses on data, facts,
Secondly, Design phase which includes Site selection and analysis, Program
formulation along with Zoning, Conceptual design, Design development, analysis and
evaluation of output design and preparation of Architectural drawings along with 3D
views, model report for final completion. This phase leads on creating proper design
of thesis selected topic. Site was sele ent to taltaliya
wetland and park. Site was zoned according to orientation and the factors affecting it.
Existing water bodies were followed to zone the resort. Later positing of units was to
get the views from each unit,

The concept of resort is emerging popularly in recent days, as the flow of tourist to
our country is immensely good. It is human nature that he wants to perch on the lap of
nature and admire it. so many people leave their habitual dwelling to take some rest
form their hectic life and visit to dis-cover new experiences. Mostly they are seeking
serene environment. I have chosen site near Taltalaiya wetland park at the lap of
community forest with diverse wildlife. So, for this design I have tried to bring nature
visually close. Also, the concept for the proposed leisure resort is “Blending with
nature” All of the guest unit are placed in such a position from where guest can
interact with nature visually with minimum intervention with existing site as far as
practical
The proposed design of resort will become the tourist destinations for both local and
foreigners Taltalaiya, Iahari providing pleasing atmosphere throughout their stay.
Visitors can taste the luxury as well as the lifestyle of people. Besides the place can be
better place for meetings, conference, organizing parties and so on, On completion of
this project Resturant with swimming pool (110 capacity), Administration,
Conference Hall, Meeting Hall, Banquet/MPH, Guest accomodations (70 capacity),
spa and health club, billiard hall, back of the house amenities such as maintenance
block, housekeeping, and staff canteen, staff accommodation (12 capacity) and
various parks and recreational programs such as boating, bird watching, natural trail
tour, tharu cultural dinning and museum were designed and architectural drawing
were prepared.TABLE OF CONTENTS
