After watching the video, students will answer the questions at the end of the video
in their notebooks and bring it to class.

In Class Activities:
 Disscussion: Students will be divided into 5 groups of 4 to
share and discuss their answers and thoughts on what they
learnt.
(10 minutes)
 Guided Practice: Students will then, be grouped into three
groups according to their levels and will be given those
assignments
1. Students will be given task cards with text messages
conversations containing figures of speech and they
will be asked to highlight the literary devices.

2. Students will be given task cards with text messages

will be asked to highlight the literary devices and
identify each one of them.

3. Students will be given a song lyrics and asked to

highlight and identify all the figurative language they
can find.
(15 minutes)
 Independent Practice: Students will be grouped in two
groups:
1. Create a text messages conversation containing at
least 4 figures of speech.
2. Create a comic book cover and at least two scenes
containing figurative language.
(20 minutes)

 Exit Ticket: Students will work independently to get the right

key and exit the session.
