Part 1. Wishing for a change and expressing discontent
Use “wish” + “would” to show a desire for something to change.
Examples:
I wish you would hurry up. (I want you to hurry up.)
I wish my daughter would do her homework. (I want my daughter to do her homework.)

Activity 2: The sentences in this activity express a desire for change. Rewrite the following sentences to include
“wish” and “would”. Begin each sentence with “I wish”. Follow the example.
Example: You don’t earn money. Tu no ganas dinero.
Answer: I wish you would earn money. Yo desearía que tu ganaras dinero.
1. You don’t clean the car. I wish you would clean the car.
2. The waiter has not taken our order.
3. My kids don’t do well in school.
4. You haven’t found a job with normal work hours.
5. You don’t clean the house.
6. These roads haven’t gotten fixed.
