AVK gate valves are designed with built-in safety in every detail. The wedge is fully vulcanized with AVK's own drinking water
approved EPDM rubber compound. It features an outstanding durability due to the ability of the rubber to regain its original
shape, the double bonding vulcanization process and the sturdy wedge design. The triple safety stem sealing system, the
high strength stem and the thorough corrosion protection safeguard the unmatched reliability.

Product description:
Flanged gate valve EN 558-2 S.14/DIN F4. For drinking water and neutral liquids to max. 70°C
Standards:
· Designed according to EN 1074 part 1 & 2
· Face-to-face dimension according to EN 558 Table 2 Series 14 / DIN 3202 - F4
· Standard flange drilling to EN1092-2 (ISO 7005-2), PN10/16
Test/Approvals:
· Seat: 1.1 x PN (in Bar), Body: 1.5 x PN (in Bar). Closing torque test.
· Hydraulic test according to EN 1074-1 and 2 / EN 12266
· Belgaqua approved
· Approved according to ACS Certificate 18 ACC NY 369

Features:
· Wedge nut in dezincification resistant brass, designed as a fixed, integral part of the wedge which prevents vibration and
ensures durability
· Wedge and wedge nut fully encapsulated in drinking water approved EPDM
· Wedge shoes in PA and guide rails on the body make the wedge slide easily up and down, keeping operational torque
low even at high differential pressure
· A large conical stem hole going all the way through the wedge ensures circulation and prevents accumulation of
stagnant water
· Stem in stainless steel with wedge stop and rolled threads for high strength
· Full circle thrust bearing keeps the stem firmly lined up and ensures low operating torque. Sizes DN450 to DN600 have a
double roller bearing and DN700+ have stainless steel washers coated with bronze/PTFE composite
· Three independent stem seals: an NBR wiper ring protects against contamination from outside, four O-rings surround the
radial bearing and innermost a lip seal backed up by an O-ring act as the main seal to the flow
· Bonnet gasket with a circular cross section fixed in a recess to avoid blow-out
· Bonnet bolts in A2-70, counterbored, sealed with hot melt glue and encircled by the bonnet gasket
· Corrosion protected with fusion bonded epoxy, applied in a GSK approved process, blue RAL 5017
· Bosses for by-pass
· ISO actuator flange; gearbox or actuator is recommended
· Detachable covers at the bottom for flushing of wedge rail
