soil,
water,
plants,
animals
Ask students how each of the following elements
of the natural environment help
us live and how they affect other things in the
environment.

clean water to live.)
Land (We build our homes and grow our food on
land. We live on the land, and we
take many natural resources from the land.)
Plants and Animals (Plants and animals give us
the food we need to live. We also
use them for many other things, such as clothing,
paper, fabric.)
