Classroom Management for the Tech Lab

One of my favorite classroom

management strategies in the tech lab is
using non-verbal signals for requesting
help.
I’ve provided 2 levels of messages on a
few different graphics versions.
Level 1: Yellow
I have a question but I can keep working
Level 2: Red
I am stuck and I can’t keep working

I use a Velcro dot on the corner of the

screen (on the plastic part) and one on
the back of the laminated card. Students
move the card they need (yellow or red)
I included this
to the Velcro dot to signal to you that
cute little
they need your help.
classroom
expectations
As you can imagine, help the ones with
poster to help
the red card first and get to the yellow
remind your
ones next.

ASK 3 BEFORE ME

1. Ask your brain

and try a
different way
2. Look around at
what other
people are doing
3.
for help
