FULL-TIME RESEARCH ASSISTANT

The University of Technology, Mauritius is recruiting a strongly motivated and dedicated

individual to work on a 3 months applied research project pertaining to “Education for
Sustainable Development (ESD) – The role of UTM in promoting ESD to face the global
post COVID challenges.”

Qualifications:

The candidate should have an Honours Degree either in Engineering, Science, Social Sciences
or any other related field with good writing and analytical skills, and experience in conducting
research.

Preference will be given to those holding a Master’s Degree in a relevant field and having
experience with qualitative and quantitative research.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  To carry out desk-based literature review
  To collect data using qualitativeand quantitative techniques.
  To analyse data.
  To write progress reports and other deliverables.
  To respect deadlines set out during the course of the research activities to be undertaken.
 To carry out any other cognate duties as required

Conditions:

  Period of Appointment: 3 months on a full time contractual basis

 Remuneration: Rs 25,000 per month inclusive of travelling by bus
