MY ON-THE-JOB TRAINING EXPERIENCE

Mella Hotels owned by the villar group, the newest venture in the hospitality industry by Vista
Land & Lifescapes. Established in 2018 with its first building in Las Piñas City, other
developments are soon to follow in Boracay, Tagaytay, Daang Hari, and Bataan. The hotel
utilizes design elements inherent to its location.

Mella Hotel Las Piñas is the first of four projects under the Mella Hotel Brand. Situated in the up
& coming commercial district of Las Piñas, Global South, this Spanish-themed structure forms
part of the city’s Historical Corridor along with other buildings within the famous Villar SIPAG
Complex. The building is designed by renowned Architect Ed Gallego and the hotel interior is
designed by Ms. Ivy & Cynthia Almario of Grit Designs. The hotel consists of 132 rooms
designed & decorated with elements that are distinctly Las Piñas. The hotel feature world-class
amenities, various dining options, banquet halls, and conference rooms. The hotel is minutes
away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Makati Central Business District, Bonifacio
Global City, & Roxas Boulevard.

The HR Department assign me to the purchasing department, the purchasing department


responsible for the and Delivery Management, we track the orders to ensure timely delivery and
coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues or delays. The fourth one is we Maintain proper
records of delivery information and invoices for accurate documentation and inventory
management. Quality Control, this is the area the we review the quality of purchased products to
ensure they meet the required standards. Address any quality concerns or discrepancies with
suppliers and take appropriate actions to maintain high-quality standards. Reporting and
Inventory Management, as a purchasing intern assistant we Maintain updated records of
purchased products, delivery information, and invoices. Prepare reports on purchases, including
cost analysis, to provide insights and support decision-making and also we Monitor stock levels
and place orders as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels.

As they assign me in purchasing department, lots of challenging in my assignated area has


honed me to a better purchasing intern assistant , like learning how to inventory that should cope
up with the speed and accuracy with that two skills I learned that things can be flexible and
manageable Research and Evaluation, whereas we conduct research and compare offers from
suppliers, and evaluate them to find the best options for purchasing materials and products. This
involves analyzing pricing, quality, and other relevant factors. The second one is Negotiation and
Contract Management, We Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers to secure
favorable agreements. Ensure that all terms and conditions are properly documented and
managed throughout the procurement process. The third one is Order Tracking if you are focus
and serious doing that job. I also experienced less supervision, like requesting for check
payment whereas I request the purchase materials total cost including the receipt and the
customer attachment this where I learned that time management is really important specially
when you are dong multiple task, received materials and assuring that the quality and quantity of
the product that are being delivered is correct and accurate to the requisition slip on each
department.

For the amount of time being supervised, I received the quality of the proper ethic of the
employee and also my superiors has honed me to a better purchasing intern with meticulous
steps that anyone passionate enough can follow. They were engaging enough, and challenging
my though process a long the way. I’m very grateful to meet such passionate, and guiding
individuals that would inspire me in my career.individuals that would inspire me in my
