Objective: To research and prepare a short presentation on an endangered species, focusing

on their habitat, migration patterns, and any environmental threats they face.
Instructions:
Choose an endangered species: Each student should select an endangered species they are
interested in researching. They can choose from any animal or plant species that is classified
as endangered.
Conduct research: Students should conduct research on their chosen species, focusing on
their habitat, migration patterns, and any environmental threats they face. They can use online
resources, books, and articles to gather information.
Prepare a presentation: Based on the research, students should prepare a short presentation
on their chosen species. The presentation should include the following:
o An introduction to the species, including its common name, scientific name, and
classification.
o Information on the species' habitat, including where it lives and any unique
characteristics of the habitat.
o Details on the species' migration patterns, including where it migrates to and from,
and any interesting behaviors or adaptations related to migration.
o An overview of the environmental threats facing the species, including human
activities that are causing habitat loss or pollution.
o Suggestions for how individuals or communities can take action to protect the species
and its habitat.
Present to the class: Each student should present their research to the class, using visual aids
such as slides, posters, or videos to help illustrate their points.
Engage in a class discussion: After all students have presented, lead a class discussion on the
importance of protecting endangered species and their habitats. Ask students to reflect on
what they learned from their research and how it has influenced their views on conservation.
Assessment:
Presentation: Students will be assessed on the quality of their presentation, including their
ability to organize information, use visuals effectively, and engage the audience.
Research: Students will be assessed on the quality and depth of their research, including their
ability to identify relevant sources and synthesize information.
Reflection: Students will be assessed on their ability to reflect on what they learned from the
activity and how it has influenced their views on conservation.
