The teams traded field goals in the third quarter and then Dean Davis made the play
of the day. A big hit on Isaiah Spiller forcing the ball free and Jesse Fesolai scrambled
to gather the ball and scoot 30 yards for the score. Yes the play was reviewed and
yes in a close one the call stayed with the ruling on the field as Eadie contorted in
disgust.

The Diesels were desperate to take momentum back but Asotasi's 4th down keeper
was stuffed by Bailey McHugh and the game was now even further in Adelaide's
hands. Matthew Hope ran in the score of the back of the top for a 17-13 lead.

Then things came to a real emotional head as Adam Garick fumbled the kick off
return. The play was challenge again by Eaadie and replays seemed to show it was
very close but the call on the field stood again. 4 plays later Gerard Mtangi scored
and the game was done.

A late field goal with a minute left saw Wellington try to stay in for a last gasp
miracle but the onside kick was recovered by Jack Solomon and Eadie stormed off
with shaking any hands.
