Questions:
1. In your own understanding describe the importance of Computer Aided Drafting.
 CAD is an essential component and foundation in the fields of construction,
engineering, and architecture. It is important in creating accurate designs thus
enabling alteration. Not only does it makes designing a product easier, but it also
helps developers optimize their production time, giving them enough time to find
errors that are a risk in manual designs. This error prediction improves product
quality by preventing costly mistakes that have a significant impact on the
production field. CAD has changed design forever and will continue to do so in
the future.

2. Provide a brief history of Computer Aided Drafting

 The word CAD or "Computer-aided drafting" emerge from Dr. Patrick J.
Hanratty which is the Father of CAD. Hanratty developed the first numerical -
control programming system called PRONTO in the 1950s, which later grew into
the CAD that we use today. Following the discovery of PRONTO, various systems
were developed by various people to support CAD in gradually improving from
2D designs to more detailed multi-layered 3D designs. Since then, CAD has
evolved, and with the assistance of prominent individuals, it has become widely
used in the fields of manufacturing and construction.
