Many processes in food production require the use of insertion resistance thermometers / thermo-
couples for monitoring the product quality. The evaluation of the core temperature during cooking and
smoking, as well as in baking and heating, permits optimum operation and control of the process
sequence.
The extreme requirements, such as sealing against water vapor, ability to withstand pressure and
mechanical shock, resistance to oils and acids, demand high standards in manufacturing processes
and materials.
JUMO insertion temperature probes have been proven more than 100. 000 times in practical use under
such conditions.
Rigid protection tubes in stainless steel, with different measurement tips, meet the high mechanical
demands. Handles in PTFE, HTV silicone or PPS plastic have proved highly satisfactory. Connecting
cables in PTFE or silicone (with or without screening) ensure reliable transfer of the measurement. An
optional metal sheath is available for additional protection against damage.
