CONTENT STANDARDS: The learner demonstrates understanding of Media and information literacy
(MIL) and MIL related concepts.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: The learner organizes a creative and interactive symposium for the
community focusing on being a media and information literate individual.
LEARNING COMPETENCY: Identify the similarities and differences between and among media literacy,
information literacy, and technology literacy
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. To define the meaning of media, information and technology literacy.
b. To differentiate the media, information and technology literacy; and
c. To write a comparison of three concepts by using a graphic organizer.
I. SUBJECT MATTER:
a. TOPIC: Communication Media and Information
b. REFERENCE: MEDIA AND INFORMATION LITERACY textbook
c. MATERIALS: chalk and chalkboard, manila paper and pentel pen
d. STRATEGIES: Active Learning and Direct Instruction
e. VALUES INTEGRATED: Observer, Competence and Hard work

Direction: WITH THE CONCEPT GIVEN, LET US NOW TEST YOUR
