CREATING A PLATFORM FOR EMPOWERING FASHION ENTHUSIASTS TO TRADE TRADITIONAL AND

CULTURAL APPAREL

It is a fact that human beings get attracted to the things that appear appealing to their eyes. Because of
this human nature, the fashion business has evolved over time. Retail organizations are making
investments in modern technology in order to improve their bottom line through their creation of
recommendation platforms across a variety of disciplines. Fashion has existed for decades and will be
trendy in the future. This project entails developing an E-Commerce website that will help in
empowering Fashion enthusiasts to trade traditional and cultural Apparel. The website will be focused
mainly on trading traditional and cultural apparel contrary to many websites already developed that
specialize in selling almost everything on one site. This will help in ensuring that the buyers and sellers
know that if they want to get a certain product without much struggling on websites, they can use this
site.

To modernize the system, the website will be able to recommend products to customers whenever they
visit the site based on their previous behavior in the system. This will involve training a machine learning
model and then being able to deploy it on the website. KNN machine learning algorithm will be used to
train the model. Being able to recommend similar apparel to the customers, will assist in meeting the
clothing sellers’ desire to allow their customers to explore their whole line of merchandise so they may
choose what they like most, which is not possible by merely walking into a clothing store.
