Baptism by fire is a refining process mentioned in the Bible. John the Baptist said Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. Other passages show baptism by fire involves God using trials and discipline to purge believers of impurities, so they can better serve Him. While baptism can involve water, dedicating one's life to Christ, or receiving the Holy Spirit, there is also a mysterious baptism by fire that purifies as fire does.

John the Baptist said: Matthew 3:11 [11]I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and FIRE. Gods refining discipline is Baptism by FIRE as it is reveales through out the New Testament. 1 Corinthians 3:15 [15]If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through FIRE. Hebrews 12:28-29 [28]Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. [29]For our God is a CONSUMING FIRE.. Jesus said: Matthew 28:19 [19]Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Paul said: Ephesians 4:4-5 [4]There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; [5]one Lord, one faith, one baptism; Romans 6:3 [3]Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Acts 8:15-16 Acts 8:15 When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:16 Because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, yhey had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
