    one of the two major schools of Hindu law, the other being the Mitakshara school. - It is

    based on the commentary titled "Dayabhaga," written by Jimutavahana in the 12th

    century. - Jimutavahana's Dayabhaga is a commentary on the Yajnavalkya Smriti, an

    ancient Hindu legal text. 2. Individual Ownership and Property: - The Dayabhaga school

    emphasizes individual ownership and property rights rather than the concept of

    coparcenary and joint family property. - Property is considered as belonging individually

    to each family member rather than being held collectively by the joint family. 3.
