Upgrade Procedure for the old version of BC3000Plus

1. Connect a keyboard to the unit, turn on the hematology analyzer and wait until the
system accesses the “Count” screen.
2. Move the cursor onto “Setup/Password” and press [Enter] key to access “Password”
screen. Enter “3210” and then access “Setup/Print”, record the present information.
Then return to “Count” screen.
3. Copy the upgrade files (disk 1) into a floppy disk.
4. Insert the floppy disk with HEMATOLOGY ANALYZER upgrade files into the floppy
disk driver.
5. Press “Shift+F8” (pressing “Shift” key and “F8” key on the keyboard at the same time),
the HEMATOLOGY ANALYZER system software will read the floppy disk and upgrade
the program automatically. After the upgrade process has finished, the system will
start up automatically.
6. Repeat step 3-5 to upgrade the disk 2, and then disk 3.
7. If the upgrade software on the floppy disk can not be read or found, the system will
report error and return “Count” screen automatically.
8. During the process of upgrading the files, if “Floppy open error” is reported, please
check if the floppy disk has been inserted and if the floppy disk driver connection is
correct. If “Read floppy disk error” or “No update files” is reported, please replace the
floppy disk with correct data and execute the operation again.
9. If the upgrade process is failed, the system will automatically restore the software with
original version, report error and return “Count” screen automatically.
10. Access “Setup/Password” change to 3333 and return to “Count” menu. Upgrade
finished!

The Module on Disk must be replaced by a new one with the system software if the
upgrade process is failed and the instrument can’t start up again.
