EXTREME ADJECTIVES
Extreme adjectives or non-gradable adjectives are
words that mean “extremely + adjective” – for
example, “freezing” means “extremely cold.” The
weather can’t be “a little bit freezing” or “very
freezing” – because the word “freezing” itself
automatically means “extremely cold.”
