Abstract: This article is about musical culture. This article presents music as an art form.
Keywords: Musical culture, music, the basis of music, musical image, musical thinking, the
specifics of the instrumental impact of music, musical instruments.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Musical culture is one of the extremely complex formations in which aesthetic, psychological,
social, communicative and other directions are intertwined. This multiplicity is associated with
the special parameters of the impact of its basis -music.
Music is among the most ancient and widespread arts in human culture. It is characterized as “a
kind of art that reflects reality in sounds, artistic images and actively affects the human psyche.
Music is able to convey the emotional state of people, as well as express general ideas related to
feelings.” The basis of music is sound, which is devoid of semantic concreteness of the word,
does not reproduce fixed, visible pictures of the world. But at the same time, it is organized in a
specific way and has an intonational nature. It is the intonation that makes music a sounding art,
absorbing the centuries-old speech plan, rhythm, etc. Music is distinguished by a number of
features that belong to it and distinguish it from other types of art - this is harmony, polyphony,
composition, rhythm.
Music as an art form has an extraordinary expressiveness and diversity, since the subject of its
reflection is all the richness of the inner world of a person. Many scientists who turn to the study
of the peculiarities of music have paid attention to the plastic properties contained in it. Hegel
emphasized that music “represents the true focus of that image, which is subjective both in its
content and in its form.”
Naturally, music is extremely saturated with subjective aspects, in essence it is addressed not
only to a specific person, but to a special state that is relevant for him right now. Because of this,
it can be regarded as a fragmentary subjective constant, which firstly corresponds to the type of a
particular person, and secondly, is superimposed on his current mood. However, such
observations do not give the right to regard music only in a subjective way, since this leads to
subjectivism in the evaluation of all musical art, depriving it of a reflective beginning. In this
case, the musical image itself can be regarded only as the aesthetics of individuals turned off
from the social sound, which is quite wrong.
The musical image, the musical canvas is multifunctional by nature. The combination of
objective-subjective, emotional and rational components, irrational and energetic positions,
allows us to regard music as an art form in which the subjective and emotional sides are more
pointed and emphasized. They are brought to the fore, but they do not at all negate the impact of
existing components besides them. The essence of the musical image lies in the sound nature,
development in time, processality, dynamism, existence as an act of activity, where the process
is superimposed on the result. It is these positions that form the specifics of figurative language,
the principles of musical thinking, form formation.

Because of this, the musical sound differs from the real physical sound by a number of features.
It is always artistically processed, cleaned of various non-aesthetic elements and differs in a
given height, volume, duration, timbre characteristics. The combination of these positions creates
a special palette, which has a certain effect on people who are in the sounding space.
Based on the specificity of sound imagery and the extremely subjective perception of this, music,
in comparison with other types of art, is less specific. Such positions as figurativeness, visibility,
practically remain outside the field of its influence. Music specializes in transmitting the world
of real phenomena mainly through emotional and energetic associations, not directly, but
indirectly. Therefore, the expressive beginning is its strongest side. Such an analysis suggests
that it is the priority of sensory-energy positions that prevails over intellectuality. The study of
any musical culture makes it possible to study, first of all, the emotional dynamics of the people,
the national color, the so-called “zeitgeist” of the era, the impact of the stratification of music. In
this regard, the musical image conveys an emotional reaction to the perceived phenomenon, it is
“always emotionally concrete, but at the same time the emotions in it are abstracted, given as if
in pure form, and thus the musical image reaches the degree of generalization and saturation that
allows us to talk about its universality”
The specifics of the instrumental impact of music is being studied by many scientists, these
studies are becoming extremely relevant at the present time, when the world is oversaturated
with sounds and the latter become the main source of fatigue, depression of a person.
Psychologists pay the closest attention to this. Simultaneously with the understanding of sound
saturation, the research proceeds along the line of determining the impact of each instrument or
their groups on human physiology and energy.
Modern information superimposed on the oldest knowledge gives the following indicators. The
instrumental impact of music manifests itself as follows. Percussion instruments affect the lower
energies of a person and have the ability to strengthen or weaken his will to live, energy, desire
for movement, etc. Combining the teaching about the chakras and the effects of musical
instruments, the following analogies can be drawn: the sound of percussion instruments can give
a sense of stability, confidence in the future, physically cheer up, give a person strength. These
statements take place if a person perceives music within “reasonable” limits. Any overdose leads
to the opposite results and prolonged stay in a disco environment causes well-known psycho-
physiological discomfort.
The mental sphere corresponds most of all to keyboard instruments, which manifest themselves
most vividly in piano, piano sound. They allow you to clarify, build a mental series, organize it
and introduce it into a fairly strict form. It is not by chance that the sound of the piano is called
the most mathematical music, and pianists are considered to be among the musical elite, which
has clear thinking and a very good memory compared to other musicians.
Stringed instruments have a completely different sound structure. They directly affect the heart
chakra - the energy of love, compassion, sensitivity, etc. Strings, especially violins and cellos,
guitars, etc. they are focused on the development of compassion. It is a well-known expression
that violins “laugh and cry”, connect people, contribute to the creation of a special mood in
which issues of mercy are extremely well resolved.
Vocal music affects all energy centers, but most of all on the throat chakra, which is responsible
for people's interaction, influence on them, submission to their opinion. It is no accident that the
expression “charming voice" is so relevant. Currently, with the development of image science,
special attention is paid to this position, since the ability not just to speak, but to intonate and
modulate their words and expressions becomes a real art of subordinating people to their will,
creating a certain image, which is extremely important for a politician, a leader and any person
working in the field of communications.
The intuitive and cosmic development is influenced by the sounds and works performed by the
organ - the most voluminous and multifunctional sounding instrument, a monumental organism

that creates a whole musical sounding world and introduces a person to another dimension.
The esoteric concept also gives other interpretations of the effects of music on the body. In it, a
person is considered as a light and sound structure. She compares the spine itself to a flute,
which reproduces a sound series - a scale. And in general, in a healthy state, it sounds at a certain
sound - la, like all tuning forks. It is known that “la” is one of the original sounds of the universe.
This is confirmed by the fact that all newborn healthy babies are the first to make this sound and
experienced medical personnel can determine the quality of their health by it. The spine is tuned
in this way to reproduce and perceive musical sounds of pure tones. But this is observed only in
a healthy body. Any of his injuries, that is, diseases, give other sounds and sound combinations,
so a person perceives as related those works that correspond not only to his mood, but also to his
state of health, that is, physiological characteristics.
Continuing this thought, the researchers note that when teaching a child music, it is necessary to
find an instrument suitable for him, that is, one that sounds resonating with his body. Otherwise,
there are numerous examples of a child's persistent unwillingness to learn music, which parents
explain by bad teachers, an unsuitable program and many other factors that leave the primary
basis - the sound discrepancy between the personality and the instrument - out of the field of
attention. This state of constant dissonance is known to be avoided by man in every possible
way. When the sounds of the organism and the instrument coincide, a special atmosphere is
created - a state of joy, spirituality, transformed into high efficiency, which, combined with
talent, gives the world great works and outstanding performance.
The analysis of the impact of the instruments, of course, is not complete. Instruments such as
accordion, accordion combine organ sounds with a special ethnic touch. The new synthetic
sounds that are appearing now make the process of musical influence on the personality
completely limitless. But our task is to demonstrate the priority directions of sounding in the
development of certain qualities in a person, or to determine the impact on them.
