𝐈𝐧𝐨𝐠𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐚, 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧

Barangay Hall, Bgy. Inogbong, Bataraza, Palawan- To heighten the awareness of the local
communities in Palawan through community-engaged Information, Education, and
Communication (IEC) campaign, Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS)
ECAN Education and Extension Division (EEED) and the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and
Conservation Center (PWRCC) is currently holding a series of talks today, August 15, to 40
barangay officials, Purok leaders, barangay tanods, SK officials, and other essential
government employees regarding environment-related laws and policies in Palawan. The
activity also aims to gather feedback from community members about their opinions and
concerns regarding PCSD and the laws it enforces in the province.

Key topics being discussed here are the provisions of Gender and Development (GAD);
Republic Act (RA) No. 7611 or the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan ACt; PCSD
Administrative Order No. 6 or the SEP Clearance System; R.A. No. 9147 or the Wildlife Act; R.
A. 9175 or the Chainsaw Act; and Human - Crocodile Conflict.

This undertaking would not have been made possible without the warm support of Hon. Marivic
O. Alba, chairperson of Bgy. Inogbong, Bataraza, Palawan.

(Barangay Hall, Bgy. Inogbong, Bataraza, Palawan- Upang mapataas ang kamalayan ng
mga local na komunidad sa pamamagitan ng Information, Education, and Communication (IEC)
campaign, kasalukuyang isinasagawa ng Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff
(PCSDS) at Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (PWRCC) ngayong araw, Ika-
15 ng Agosto, ang isang pagpupulong upang talakayin ang mga batas-kalikasan sa Palawan,
na dinadaluhan ng 40 opisyales ng nasabing barangay, opisyales ng mga purok nito, barangay
tanods, miyempro ng Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), at piling mga kawani ng gobyerno. Layunin
din nito na alamin ang kuro-kuro ng mga kalahok sa mga batas na pinaiiral ng PCSD sa
Palawan.
