Dear Sam,
How’s everything with you? I hope you are doing great. Sorry! I couldn’t call you last Saturday
as I was busy in making arrangements for the birthday party of my younger brother Paul.
I could only wish that you were in the city and helped me out in the preparations. Although I
told you on call two weeks before that my parents would be taking up the responsibility in
inviting the guest and setting up the whole part, unfortunately due to Corona pandemic their
flight has been postponed. Ultimately, I had to take the charge of all the things and instead of
celebrating it in a hotel due to lockdown and restrictions on dine in, I had to call the cateress at
home to do the job. It was a hectic day, as I was standing on my feet all day to monitor each
and everything was done timely and in an organized manner.
At 7o’clock in the evening, my brother’s friends and their families started to arrive and they
were surprised to see the beautiful and lavish arrangement in the garden of our house. There
was also a play area with jumping castles, musical chairs and stuff toys I allocated for him and
his friends before the cake ceremony would have begun. It was lovely to see little boys and girls
playing with balloons and laughing and running after each other. The parents of children also
seemed relax and comfortable with all the arrangements and safety of home. At 8 o’clock there
was a cake cutting ceremony and food served to the guest. My brother was on the moon
receiving all the attention and numerous gifts from the attendants. I felt happy and great as
everything went so well beyond my imagination.
Overall for the very first time I felt confident that I could take care of things in the absence of
my parents and show responsibility. My brother thanked me a lot for making his birthday and
memorable one and so my parents.
I hope to see you next month in college. Till than take good care of yourself.
Love,
Anna.
Dear Susan,
How everything? I hope you had a great time at your aunt’s house. I am writing this letter to tell
you about my school trip to ‘Central Zoo’ in the countryside and the unusual incident that
happened there with me during my tour.
Let me tell you that it was an educational trip where we were educated about the importance
of animals on our planet and how we should behave with them whenever we visit a wildlife
park or a countryside. As you know central zoo is famous for the variety of animals it has, our
school management decided to take us there without a second thought.
While a conservationist was telling us about some rare species of animals, I was standing next
to a monkey cage feeding him some biscuits I had in my pocket. Suddenly the monkey instead
of grabbing the biscuit from my hand, he pulled me towards the cage by my sleeve. That was
the moment, I started shouting help! Help! and everybody’s attention diverted towards me.
Immediately the conservationist calmed the monkey down and he asked the monkey to leave
my sleeve by tempting him thought a banana.
Finally, I was taken to a nursing room by my class teacher to see, if I got hurt, but thankfully
nothing serious happened. I apologized my teacher and the zoo keeper for not keeping a safe
distance from the cage and for feeding the monkey without permission.
Anyway, besides that, it was a useful trip and I really enjoyed and earned a lot. Write me soon
about you vacation plan for the next month.
Love,
John.
