FOR PARENTS
Disclaimer: I learned this from jadya and the reading mama.

Step 1. Start by buying a flashcard and write the small letters on to them like shown

below.

Use the card to practice the phonics sounds with the kids daily at least 3-4 mins. It will

take them around 1 week to get hang of it. If you don’t know how to sound the certain

words the link will direct you to JadyA’s channel to learn the sounds phonic sound .

there is also interactive video to show you how to use the flashcards linked here

phonics with drumming .

Step 2.

After your kid is able to know the sounds by heart, you can move on to 2 letter sounds,

this can be found in page 1. You can copy that into a A4 paper and put into a file.

Example shown here

Step 3. After the kids can say the 2 letter sounds you can try introducing the beginning

and end rimes words that I have posted on the google drive. You can also introduce

CVC words; CVC means constant vowel constant words. Examples are Bat, Mad, the

CVC words list is uploaded also as CVC word list you can use that to create similar

pages like shown here. I used red color to

differentiate the vowels.

Step 4. Introduce sight words along with CVC words, those will be posted as well in the

google drive.

Also reading takes time, it took ashmit 1 week to complete step 1, he still has issues in

step 2 and 3 but they will get there slowly and surely!

Happy reading!
