5.0 WARNING TAPE

Warning tapes shall be as per DS DS/EN 12613 or any equivalent International Standard.

5.1 Power Cables

The warning tapes for power cables shall be made of PVC or Polyethylene and shall
have the following details:

Color Flame Red (RAL 3000)

Width of tape 450 mm

Thickness 200 Microns

Roll Length 300 meters

The warning tape shall contain the following information in Arabic on top and English
lettering at the bottom in Traffic Black (RAL 9017):

5.2 Communication Cables

The warning tape for communication cables shall be made of PVC or Polyethylene with
the following details;

Color Green

Width of tape 450 mm

Thickness 150 Microns (0.15 mm) minimum

Roll Length 300 meters

The warning tape shall have the following information in Arabic on top and English
lettering in Traffic Black (RAL 9017) at the bottom or arranged side by side;

6.0 PVC COATED STEEL WIRE MESH

PVC Coated Steel Wire Mesh shall be as per ASTM F2453M and shall be as per the
requirements as stated below;

Color Green

Steel Wire Mesh 2.5 mm diameter

Width Same as the trench

Mesh Opening Size 50 X 50 mm squares
