At PerkinElmer, we are focused on providing our customers with excellent service and support
throughout the serviceable life of our instruments. We continuously review our ability to service
and support our installed base of instrumentation to determine its standing in the product life
cycle. This review takes into consideration many factors such as the age of the instrument, our
ability to procure replacement parts, and the availability of technical expertise. During this
review, PerkinElmer has determined that some critical parts are becoming more difficult to
acquire for the AAnalyst™ 200/400 series of flame atomic absorption (AA) instruments. We will
make reasonable efforts to repair instruments on future service contracts for these instruments.
However, we cannot guarantee the availability of all parts in the future.

To continue meeting your expectations for responsiveness and support, we are ready to provide
you with a variety of product migration and trade-up options as you plan for the future. Two of
the trade-up options include the PinAAcle™ 500 and PinAAcle 900 AA spectrometers, which offer
increased sensitivity, improved automation, data compliance, and updated Microsoft®
Windows® 10 compliant software. We can provide you with options that are very cost effective,
delivering your laboratory savings in the coming years.

We appreciate your business, and in order to mitigate any impact on your productivity, we want
to ensure that you have the latest technology in your laboratory, combined with premier
support. As a valued customer of PerkinElmer, for a limited time, we are offering an additional
incentive to upgrade to a new PinAAcle 500 AA if you decide to trade-in your operational
