The learner will art elements and processes by synthesizing IN EAST ASIAN PAINTING, CALLIGRAPHY
and applying prior knowledge and skills.

The learners will create artworks showing the characteristic a. References:
elements of the arts of East Asia. Music and Arts Learner's materials; p. 238- 246

C. Learning Competencies: PowerPoint Presentation
The learners identify the characteristics of arts and crafts
found in China, Japan, and Korea like painting, pottery, and
paper arts.

Introduction

c. Motivation
The teacher will let the students recall and share what they have learned in the previous lesson in Arts.
Activity:
The students will interpret the meaning and subject/ theme of paintings of East Asian countries.
Analysis:
The students will answer the following: when was the painting started? What pigment or medium were they used in painting?

Abstraction:
Let the students verify their answer on their previous activity regarding the subjects/ themes of East Asian countries. They will also know the important
aspects in East Asian painting and will enrich their knowledge about Chinese Calligraphy.
Application:
Each student will write the basic calligraphy of China on their notebooks.

Closure:
The students shoul have an advance reading about Chinese and Japanese Art.
