“PPE”
Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the
students are expected to:
a. define the Personal
Protective Equipment;
b. identify the different types
of personal protective
equipment and their uses; and
c. create a reflection about
the importance of Personal
Protective Equipment.
 It is worn to minimize
exposure to hazards that cause
serious workplace injuries and
illnesses.
 It helps you to hygienically
prepare food and prevent
foreign objects in falling in to
food.
 DIFFERENT TYPES OF PPE
 Apron - To keep clothes clean
and tidy, also added protection from
things like spills, food, dirt, germs,
and etc.
 Hair Net – To keep hair from
contacting exposed food, clean,
and sanitized equipment,
 utensils and linens, or
unwrapped single-service
articles.
 Footwear – Non-slip shoes
should be worn at all times, no
matter the environment, to
prevent slips and falls.
 Oven Gloves – This gloves
designed to be used to handle
hot items or to move hot plates,
pots, and pans.
 Face Mask – It is to prevent
from coughing or sneezing
onto and contaminating food
during the food preparation and
handling process.
Interpretation of Score:
21-30 = Excellent
11-20 = Very Good
6-10 = Far Output
5 and below = Poor Output
