1. LOCOMOTOR SKILLS
—is a physical action that propels an individual from one place to another. This may mean
moving forward, backward, or even upwards using certain skills.

2. NON LOCOMOTOR SKILLS


—also known as axial skills are the body movement that does not involve movement from one
place to another.

3. MANIPULATIVE SKILLS
—are gross body movement in which force is implied to or received from objects.
4. FINE MOTOR SKILLS
—are the ability to make movement using the small muscles in our hands and wrists. We rely on
these skills to do key tasks in school, at works and in everyday life.

5. GROSS MOTOR SKILLS


—involve movement of the large muscles of the arms,legs and torso.People rely on gross motor
skills for activities at school,at work,at home and in their everyday lives.People who struggle
with gross motor skills have trouble doing whole body movement like running and jumping.
