MATTHEW 18: 1-4

REFLECTION:

As I attended the mass I learned that a man's worth is determined by the number of people he serves, not
the number of servants he has. This, according to Jesus, it’s grand. While the world sees grandeur as
having the power to reign over others. Jesus demonstrates that those who are first in the kingdom must
be willing to be the last and servant of all. This is good news because it demonstrates that anyone can
serve and be great. Humility is important in God’s Kingdom. As Jesus warns, you must turn and become
like children. Humility. If you want to be a Christian, you must first grasp what humility is and then be
humbled like a child. It doesn't matter how frequently you attend church. It doesn't matter how much
money you put in the donation bag. You can't keep all the Commandments, no matter how hard you try.
You cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven unless you are humble as a small child. The impoverished in
the soul will be a part of the Heavenly Kingdom. Of course, this does not refer to material deprivation.
This is related to a way of thinking, an attitude, and a mindset. Individuals who are conscious of their
spiritual bankruptcy and acknowledge it.
