2nd PAPER
ENGLISH LANGUAGE
INSTRUCTIONS ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS.

Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow by choosing the
most appropriate of the options lettered numbered A-D (1-5)

The human body is like a machine. It is made up of thousand of parts, all of which work
together. Our home makes a skeleton that contain all the other parts. The working parts of the
body are called organs.
Two of the most important organ of the body are the heart and the brain.

The brain is like a computer which receives and uses information. Our eyes, tongue, nose and
hands all provide plenty of information for the brain. It thinks and sends information to the
other parts of the body to make human beings act.

The heart is a pump, sending blood around the body to reach all parts of the body. Blood
circulation is important because it gives the body the nutrients it needs to function effectively as

om
well as removed harmful materials. We have to take good care of our bodies. Basically, what
makes good health is good nutrient. If you sleep and eat balance diets that contain protein,
vegetable and fruits, the body would be adequately nourished and take control of harmful

.c
chemical, disease and germs. Regular exercise is useful in keeping the body young, fit and
healthy. We might also need medicines to help repair our bodies whenever something goes
