0) I believe that we should allow Indigenous Australians to have a voice in Parliament.

1) Did you know only an astounding 3% of Indigenous Australians make up the whole our
country’s Parliament and a shockingly low of 1% in Victoria’s? It needs to be clear that
the parliament officials should trust and allow these people have a say on big decisions.
Our country happens to be known known for supporting equality, rights as well as
opportunities so why turn down the idea that belongs to allowing someone different into
parliament?

2) Did you know that just 3% of Indigenous Australians make up the whole Parliament of
our nation, and only 1% of them in Victoria's? The fact that these individuals should be
trusted and given a voice in major decisions by the parliament officials must be clearly
stated. Our country happens to be known known for supporting equality, rights as well as
opportunities. Why turn down the idea of voting a different person to parliament when
our nation is well known for acceptance and diversity?

3) We all know that two minds are better than one, so why not scrap the thought of
excluding people who are just simply a little different and be more considerate. The more
diverse variety of people entering the parliament the better the decisions will be. Take for
example if the parliament only consisted of only one race, the decisions and rules made
would only give benefits them, whereas if it were a more multicultural variety of
management, the laws and resolves would be much more benefiting for everyone, it’s
simply a win-win.

4) More importantly, it's simply not okay to exclude the rightful owners of this land. So, what
kind of brainless idea is it to not let them have a say? It’s simply unacceptable to exclude
Indigenous people from crucial decisions which will eventually shape Australia. They
have gone through quite a lot both during and after colonization so it’s simply not okay to
leave them out of big decisions. The feeling of being left out is one that we are all
familiar with, and there is just no point in re-imprinting that feeling on an entire ethnicity
when we know how heartbreaking it can feel.

5) It is commonly argued that indigenous Australians shouldn't be allowed a voice in the

parliament, and that it is unnecessary and that people who are different shouldn't be
allowed to participate. However, what these people fail to mention is the fact that it will
benefit Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders throughout the country by enhancing their
quality of life. It is important that the people have their say on issues that have an impact
on their lives.

6) This important decision can’t wait forever, it must start now. Giving a voice to Parliament
is about to draw a line on the failed policies of the past and start to create a positive
impact on the rightful owners of our land.

7) This significant choice must be made right and can’t wait forever. Giving Parliament a
voice is about to put a stop to the unsuccessful actions taken in the past and begin to
have a positive impact on the rightful landowners.
