On the big day, elephants from different villages gather at Don Village.

The race track is on


even ground, preferably wide enough for ten elephants to stand simultaneously in a line with a
length of one to two kilometres. People from near and far in their best and colourful costumes
flock to the festival.
The elephant race is the biggest festival in the Central Highlands. Coming here, you will not
only feel the martial spirit of the M’nong ethnic people, who are very famous for their bravery
and skill in hunting wild elephants, but also the magnificent landscape of the Central Highlands
which further stresses the grandiose characters of this traditional festival.

Huong Pagoda Festival is held annually and lasts three months, from the 6th of the first month
to the 6th of the third month in Lunar New Year. It official day is from 15th to 20th February in
Lunar New Year. Huong pagoda is a complex consisting several Buddhists pagodas and
temples on Huong Tich lime – stone Mountain. Not only on the festival, Huong pagoda is the
beautiful and sacred attraction all around year.
Coming to Huong Pagoda Festival, visitors will experience a local sampan boat ride on
charming Yen Stream from Duc Pier and visit pagodas and temples here. Tourists visit the
pagoda on the occasion of festival mainly purpose to pray for themselves and their family.
Each visitor will bring a lavish tray to offer Buddha, after an incense – offering liturgy, each
will eat a piece of their sacrifice so as to receive luck from Buddha.

The Hùng Kings' Temple Festival (Vietnamese: Giỗ Tổ Hùng Vương or lễ hội đền Hùng) is
held annually from the 8th to the 11th day of the third lunar month in honour of the Hùng
Vương or Hùng Kings. The main festival day, which is a public holiday in Vietnam since 2007,
is on the 10th day.
the purpose of this ceremony is to remember and pay tribute to the Hung Kings who are the
traditional founders and first emperors of the nation. The festival began as a local holiday, but
has become recognized as a national holiday starting in 2007. In 2016, the total number of
visitors to the festival numbered seven million.
Although the official name is the Death Anniversary of the Hung Kings , the festival does not
mark any specific date of death for any Hung King
