A Traditional Festival in Viet Nam

In Viet Nam, every month, every year, there are abot 8000 festivals celebrated. These
brings happiness to people who take part in the festivals. Nevertheless, we also have
to conserve and maintain the traditional festivals in VN. And one of the most
important festivals in our country is Hùng Temple Festival,
Every year, Hùng temple festival is celebrated from the eighth to the tenth of the third
Lunar month at Hùng Temple located on the top of nghia linh mountain Hy Cương
village, Viet Tri City, Phu Tho province, about 85 kilometers from Hà Nội. When this
festival is celebrated, every Vietnamese citizen around the country towards their first
hometown. They come to the festival to pray for health, happiness and wealth. They
also come here to show their respect to the Hùng Kings who are considered as the
founders of Vietnamese nation.
Every 5 years, the general government comes to Hùng Temple and brings their
possesty to the temple to remember the founders of our nation
The main festival is held on the tenth of the third Lunar month. This can be call like a
ceremony with thousand of people taking part in. During the festival, you guys can
enjoy a lot of kind of entertainment like lion dance, folk games, exhibitions of
traditional performances and so on.

The Hung Kings Temple Festival is a time for Vietnamese people to come together
to celebrate their national identity and heritage. It is a reminder of the important role
that the Hung Kings played in the history of Vietnam.

The festival is also a time for Vietnamese people to express their gratitude to the
Hung Kings for their sacrifices in building the nation. It is a time to reflect on the
importance of family, community, and nationhood.

The Hung Kings Temple Festival is a beautiful and moving celebration of


Vietnamese culture and history. It is an important part of the Vietnamese identity and
is cherished by people all over the world.
