I want to rebuild this system because it has some faults and problems.
All the faults are observed by the users and we would check it in need-
finding technique.

WE HAVE USE OBSERVATIONS AND

INTERVIEW TECHNIUES TO FIND THE NEEDS
AND PROLBEMS OF THE USER IN WHILE
OPERATING OUR APPLCAITIONS
OBSERVATIONS:
In observation we check users and their behavior in context and see
users in their element and learn about their experience
When observing, find out specifically what tasks they are trying to
accomplish and how so. An outsider’s perspective makes it easier to
uncover workarounds. You can ask questions but keep them open
ended.

I would be giving users of this application tasks and they would

implement those tasks and based on the results of the task I would
observe the problems and faults in the application.

INTERVIEWS:
Task 1 Sign in through account.
Difficulty level: Easy
Problem Faced: Their was one problem that was faced by the
users is that their google map were connected with google
account that is connected with google services and some times
google play services get down due to which application doesn’t
work so this was the observed problem
The error basically means that Google services are not working,
and Google Maps needs them for a good part of its functions.

Difficulty level: Moderate
Problem Faced: No problems were faced in this task.

Difficulty level: Easy

Problem Faced: No problems were faced in this task

Task 4 Search new location

Difficulty level: Easy
Problem Faced: No problems were faced in this task

Difficulty level: Easy
Problem Faced: No problems were faced in this task

Task 6 Check your current location.

Difficulty level: Easy
Problem Faced: One problem was faced that was red Google
Maps location icon is that Google Maps does not have
permission to enter the location, either because you have not
given it yet or because you have manually deleted it from the
Android settings. The app will continue to function normally,
but you won't be able to see where you are or get directions to
or from it.

Task 7 Check

Problem Faced: No problems were faced in this task.

Task 8 Check your saved locations.

Difficulty level: Moderate
Problem Faced: Problem faced by the user is that You can save
locations in Google Maps to come back to later, but they will
only appear in your account. If the places you've saved in
Google Maps don't appear, it's probably because you're not
logged into your Google account at the time.

Task 9 Check Compass to check your directions.

Difficulty level: Moderate
Problem Faced: Problem faced in the task is that compass is not
accurate.
compass does not point correctly to the orientation of the
mobile 
Your phone calculates the orientation using different sensors
inside, but these calculations can become unreliable over time.

Task 10 check application closes unexpectedly or not

Difficulty level: Moderate
Problem Faced: problem faced was Unexpectedly, the Google
Maps program closes. These errors are normally not your fault,
but rather the result of a new version of the application that
came with a gift in the form of a bug.

In general, Google shouldn't take too long to release an app

update that corrects the problem.

Difficulty level: Moderate
Problem Faced: No problems were faced in this task

Task 12 Add new location/pictures/review.

Difficulty level: Moderate
Problem Faced: No problems were faced in this task
Task 13 Add 3d photos.
Difficulty level: Hard
Problem Faced: problem faced was that it need 3d camera to
capture 3d photos but user were trying it with normal camera
and it was not getting the results that 3d photos required

Task 14 check location in offline maps

Difficulty level: Moderate
Problem Faced: Problem face was that the map itself does not
appear. The reason is not clear, although it could be related to
poor connectivity or a specific error in Google Maps.
If you have this problem, it never hurts to try the basic package
to troubleshoot not only in Google Maps, but in practically any
other Android app
When Google Maps goes offline, it will show a message that
says "it appears you are offline." If you are currently connected
to the Internet, it is likely that your link is unreliable or that
there is a network or Google problem.
Google Maps can be used without an Internet connection, but
certain features will be disabled and the amount of information
shown will be significantly reduced.
QUESTIONNARIES:
In this section we are asking questions from the users and the
will answer these question regarding their experiences
1. Did you fell welcomed when you started the application?
Ans:
Yes, when I started the application I fee welcomed there was
a welcome note on the start.

2. Was it easy to navigate through application?

Ans:
Yes, it is easy to navigate through application and overall
navigation was not very difficult

3. Was the text and button easily visible?

Ans:
All the text and button was clearly visible and font size was
accurate.

4. Was there any problem loading our application and using

the features?
Ans:
 Yes, there were some issues in loading it features like for
example in offline mode some features were not loading
and map suddenly disappears. And some times app
suddenly closes these were some issue that was faced

5. Was our Maps accurate according to locations and

directions?
Ans:
No the maps were not accurate every time sometime it
shoes wrong directions which causes our time and money
wastage

6. Was it easy to update our application?

Ans:
Yes it was easy to update application whenever there was
any update the application use to pop up the update
message

7. Was there any connectivity issue in the application?

Ans:
Yes, there was connectivity issue with the google play
services sometimes app use to close and message used to
appear saying google play services not connected.
 SUGGESTIONS:
As a user of this application, I would suggest that work on your
connectivity issues weather it is net connectivity or google play
services, because these issues cause us problem and then due
to these issues, we can use this application effectively.

Another suggestion is that improve your map accuracy. The

map is not accurate overall sometimes it shows us wrong
directions.
