A: Hi!, Good morning, my name is Abigail I’m of human resources, and I'm going to be your 
interviewer, thank you for coming, please take a seat. 
O: Good morning, all right thank you. 
 
A: All right, let’s start, please tell me your name? 
O: my name is Omar De La Toba, and I want to thank you for the opportunity to apply for this job, 
I appreciated it.  
 
A: Don’t say it, we hope that you can join us, so,  How Did you know about this Job? 
O: I saw it in the newspapers, and a friend of mine came yesterday and he told me it is a good 
supermarket. 
 
A: It is, we have great programs to support all our workers, All right, tell me more about you, what 
are your hobbies? 
O: Honestly, I like to play guitar, listen to music, play games on my ps4, spent time with my 
daughter and my wife, take them out to dinner, and stuffs like that. 
 
A: id like to play guitar too, maybe someday we can play together 
O: Yeah! Of course is going to be a pleasure. 
 
A: Well, I need to ask something uncomfortable, but I need you, to be honest, please, Do you use 
any toxic substance or any type of drug? 
O: No, miss I don`t do drugs, non‐drink, or smoke, to be honest, I was a drunk, but when I get 
married all change for good. 
 
A: Perfect, is good to hear that, thanks for being honest, well let’s continue, Do you have health 
insurance? 
O: yes I have medical coverage IUSSSA 
 
A: ok, thanks, Omar I need to know more about you, so I’m going to ask specific questions all 
right? 
O: Please, go ahead. 
 
A: Do you suffer from any illness that requires special attention? 
O: No miss nothing at all 
 
 
A: Do you take some medication or do you have a special need? 
O: Nothing, I'm strong and healthy thank God. 
 
A: All right, Do you have your car or do you use public transport? 
O:  I have my car, its old but still works  
 
A: ok, do you live near to here? or how much time do you need to arrive? 
O: No, I live like 15min from here, in Derek street and Rosales boulevard 
 
A: oh really? My boyfriend lives near from there, excellent 
 As I remember you are married and with a daughter, right? 
O: cool, and yes, I have 2 years married and I have a daughter, she’s 1. 
 
A: ok Omar, we have almost done, tell me about your educational background 
O: I Finished high school, a long time ago, and I want to continue with college, but I either have the 
time or the money, but one day I guess. 
 
A: It’s good to know that you want to continue with your education, hope we can help with 
something in the future, Omar why do you want to work here? 
O: Because I need to pay the rent, and I need to feed my family, besides I have a lot of energy to 
do a good job. 
 
A: Well, we have two areas available, the butcher area, and a cashier, where would you like to 
work? 
O: I’d like to work in the cashier area. 
 
A: Do you have a special ability that you can use there? 
O: Yes, I have good customer service, I like to treat people, and I’m fast and organized. 
 
A: Do you have some experience in a similar job? 
O: Yes, in fact, 7 months ago I worked in a restaurant as a waiter, and it was good because of the 
tips, but I can’t handle the hour business. 
 
A: I see, Which was your last job? 
O: I was a waiter in an Italian Restaurant, near the coast. 
 
A: OK so, if we choose you, when can you start to work? 
O: as soon as possible, I need the first paycheck 
 
A: ok, the payment Is in check, every Friday,  you can start for $9.50 for an hour, which means 
$450.00 per week more bonus, is that good for you? 
O: is more than enough, but with time I aspire for more. 
 
A: Excellent, you know what, I see a great opportunity to work with you, could you start the next 
Monday at 8 O'Clock? 
O: Really!! of course, OMG thank you! I appreciated it you won’t get regret it. 
 
A:  Don’t need to say, do you have any questions for me? 
 O: Nothing, thanks again  
 
A: Well, we will be waiting for you, to give you the uniform and introduce you to your new 
partners, and that’s it… have a good day Omar.
