Mega-Metals® Repair Sticks Chemical Resistance

Laboratory tests have been performed on common chemicals to determine their

effect on cured Mega-Metals Repair Sticks, including Mega-Stick™, Mega-Therm™
Stick, Aqua-Stick™, Mega-Crete™ Stick and Re-Wood™ sticks. The ratings are as
follows:
Normal temperature (72°F/22°C) exposure to the following has no effect or minor effect:
Acetic Acid (dilute) Muriatic Acid (dilute)
Alcohols (e.g., Methyl, Ethyl, Isopropyl) Naphtha
Antifreeze Natural Oils (e.g., Linseed, Olive, Palm)
Caustic Potash Nitric Acid (dilute)
Cellosolves Oils and Fuels (e.g., Diesel, Gasoline, Jet,
Chlorinated Solvents, Saturated (limited) Lubricating, Silicone)
Chlorine Bleach (dilute) Salt Solutions (e.g., Alum, Calcium Chloride, Salt)
Esters Soap and Soap Solutions
Greases Toluene
Hydrogen Peroxide Trichloroethane
Lacquers and Shellac Turpentine
Lacquer and Pain Thinners Water
Methylene Chloride Xylene
Mineral Spirits

Hot (hotter than 72°F/22°C) or strongly concentrated (more than 50%) exposure to the following has
