IBC SolGuard
System monitoring
The IBC SolGuard monitoring system ensures optimum use
of your solar power. It combines the monitoring of photovol-
taic systems with targeted control of individual household
appliances. Thus, it is ideal for systems that are designed not
only for feeding power into the grid but also for a household’s
own consumption. For this purpose, the IBC SolGuard deter-
mines – optionally using wireless signals – how much energy
the photovoltaic system is currently generating. ­Using cur-
rent weather data obtained via an Internet connection, the
system calculates the solar output for the next few hours. If
the projection is positive, the IBC SolGuard can automatically
switches over to self-consumption and ­activates selected
consumers.
