PROPER HANDLING OF TROLLEY
1. First check the trolley if it is clean before using them. Cleaning and sanitizing them is must to ensure that no harmful bacteria are left on it. 2. Conduct periodic maintenance. Regularly check the trolley for any damages or faults and have it repaired immediately. 3. Do not pull the trolley, it is important to see where you are going so it is better if you push the trolley. 4. Put the heavy items on the bottom part of the trolley to avoid it from overturning. Stock items in their designated places on the trolley. 5. Do not overload the trolley. 6. Avoid lifting things that weigh over your capacity. Better ask help from others for a “team lift” and also you must give help to others that need it. 7. Always position the trolley near the wall and out of the guest’s way. The trolley will normally be parked across the guest’s door to prevent any unauthorized person accessing the room. 8. It is standard industry practice that no “extra” bags are hung off the housekeeping trolley.
