 If you hear a fire alarm, then walk out of the lab through nearest
emergency exist door
 If you see a fire and there is no alarm, then activate the alarm
manually (manual call point) and walk out calmly
 If you are running a tool which you suspect is causing the alarm
for e.g smoke from tool or pump in service corridor visible
through glass window; press EMO and exit immediately
 If you are running a toxic gas containing process, stop process
step and set to purge and leave the lab
 Assemble at meeting g ppoint mandatorily

 Call IITB security person / topsline emergency
 Get details about location of fire from main fire/gas panel
 Get details from user in the lab about hazards/potential fire/gas
leak sources
 Trained facilities staff to wear breathing apparatus and chemical
suits
 If large fire, fire suppressant should be auto deployed

 Turn off lab power


 If small fire/smoke

 Physically remove any remaining personnel
 Turn
