Notification of Address for MMN1501

This letter serves to remind you with important information for your practical module
MMN1501

▪ These practical will be during the period of 14 August – 18 August 2023

(weekdays only).

▪ All students must only choose Two consecutive days for the experiments

(e.g. 14 and 18 August 2023)

▪ Students are to undertake Two experiments a day (08:00 – 11:00 and

13:00 – 16:00) and write a full report

▪ To adhere to the Covid-19 regulations, no student will be allowed in the

Laboratory without a mask. All students will be required to leave the

Laboratory immediately after collecting experimental data.

▪ All four experiments must be submitted in separate books

NB: sign up for the practical session on Myunisa for each day and only
signed up students will be allowed in the practical venue.

▪ Parallelogram

▪ Moments

▪ Hooke’s Law

▪ Linear air track

What to bring?

Please bring the following when attending your session;

▪ Study guides, Prescribed/ Recommended books

▪ Student cards, Drawing Instruments (math set).

▪ Laboratory/Dust Coat or Overall.

▪ Pen, Pencil, Ruler, Eraser, Writing Paper, Graph Paper, and Calculator.

NB: Please wear Safety/closed shoes otherwise you won’t be allowed to enter
the lab.

Note that the practicals are conducted at the Physics department
