My favorite celebrity

My favorite celebrity is Adele because she is really gorgeous, when I feel stressed, I
always hear Adele because she makes me feel calm and peace. Her voice is
fantastic. In my opinion she is a hardworking person because she had many
problems and obstacles in her career. She is a woman to be admired.

Daughter of the Englishwoman Penny Adkins and the Welshman Mark Evans, an
alcoholic who abandoned them when she was two years old, leaving her mother the
responsibility of raising her alone.

Her mother encouraged her interest in music by taking her to concerts at an early
age and making her participate in friend's gatherings.

She began singing at the age of four with the Spice Girls as her most important
influence; she stated that when her favorite Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, left the group,
she was heartbroken.

The ballad Someone Like You was written by her with producer Dan Wilson, for her
second studio album, and is about the man in his 30s who dated her for 18 months.
She thought she was going to marry him, but shortly after the couple broke up, she
found out that he was about to marry another girl. She stated that the composition
of this song was like a liberating therapy for her.

In March 2011, the singer-songwriter equaled Madonna's record by staying for the
ninth consecutive week at the top of the UK album chart, the longest period for a
female solo artist.
