RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CHOIR MINISTRY

GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS

It is very important for those who participate in the Music Ministry to feel that they are
“called, appointed, and anointed” to the ministry at hand.
 Lifestyle- Participants must be born-again believers of Christ, and their lifestyle must
resemble that of a born again Christian.
 Participants must be worshipers on and off the platform. Anyone who has difficulty
worshiping at home or in the congregation is not ready to be a leader.

Talent and Skill: Although we recognize the importance of a pure heart, the musician and
vocalists also need to have enough skill so that they can follow the Holy Spirit. Musicians and
vocalists should have open hearts to receive advice, correction, training, and should be
committed to becoming proficiently skilled at their ministry. “Kenaniah the head Levite was in
charge of the singing; that was his responsibility because he was skillful at it”. (1 Chronicles
15:22) One does not need to be a professional musician to worship the Lord, but God honors
the discipline of additional practice and preparation. “Failing to prepare is preparing for failure.”

NOS RULES AND GUIDELINES
1 FAILURE TO GIVE A PRIOR NOTICE FOR BEING LATE OR
BEING ABSENT
2 LEAVING THE CHOIR SEAT IN ANY SERVICE WITHOUT
PERMISSION IS HIGHLY PROHIBITED
3 FAILURE TO MINISTER 2 TIMES(2x) IN A MONTH; WITH
THE EXCEPTIONS OF THE:
I. NURSING MOTHERS
II. STUDENTS
III. NONE AVAILABILTY OF MEMBER DUE TO
TRAVELLING
IV. UNAVIODABLE ABSENCE IN RESPECT TO ILL
HEALTH
4 ALL CHOIR MEMBERS MUST BE ON SEAT AT SUNDAY
SERVICES AND WEEKLY SERVICES ( WITH THE EXCEPTION
OF THE NURSING MOTHERS)
5 LAW AND ORDER SHOULD BE MAINTAINED EVEN WHEN
THE LEADERS / CORDINATORS ARE NOT AVAILABLES
6 USING OF MOBILE PHONE DURING SERVICE
7 BROTHERS SHOULD HENCEFORTH TAKE TO THE FRONT
ROW OF THE SITTING POSITION WHILE THE NURSING
MOTHERS AND OTHER SISTERS TAKE THE SECOND AND
LAST ROW OF THE CHOIR’S SITTING POSITIONS.
8 NO FEMALE IS ALLOWED TO TAKE OFF THEIR SHOES
BEFORE THE SERVICE ENDS
9 OFFERINGS AND DUES WILL HENCEFORTH BE OBSERVED
BY EVERY COMMITTED CHOIR MEMBER

N1,000.00 OR
SEIZE ANY LEG OF THE OFFENDER’S SHOES
NO RETURNING TO THE SEAT FOR THAT
SERVICE AND ALSO PAY A FINE OF N1,000.00
SUSPENSION FOR A MONTH
N1,000.00
A VERY ATTRACTIVE PACKAGE(S) WILL BE
GIVEN TO WHO WILL TAKE CHARGE OF
REHEARSAL WHEN THE
LEADERS/CORDINATORS ARE ABSENT
SEIZURE OF OFFENDER’S PHONE WITH AN
ADDITIONAL FINE OF N1,000.00
CORDINATOR WILL HAVE TO FORCEFULLY
DRAG SUCH OFFENDER TO HIS/HER
SUPPOSED SITTING ROW, HENCE CAUSING
AN EMBARRASING SCENARIO TO THE
OFFENDER
PERMANENT SEIZURE OF THE SHOES OF THE
OFFENDER(S)
