In an effort to ensure that parents will have a better understanding of how education
will be delivered to their children this upcoming school year, the Department of Education
(DepEd) said that an orientation will be conducted for parents before classes formally start in
August.
As it prepares for the “new normal’ in education due to the changes brought about by
the COVID-19 crisis, the Department of Education (DepEd) underscores the important role of
parents and guardians in making sure that the learning of their children will continue amid
expected disruptions.

Title of Activity: TREE PLANTING

Date: November 3, 2017
Venue: BACK OF GUISGUIS NATIONAL HIGH
Budget Allocation: n/a
Source of Fund: n/a
Objectives:
- To recognize the beauty of trees and their many other values

Expected Number of Participants: 42

Actual Number of Participants: 14

NARRATIVE REPORT

Rationale:
Trees also help to reduce ozone levels. Most importantly, trees sequester carbon,
helping to remove carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from the air, which cools the
earth.
Planting a tree in your yard brings many benefits to your family, your neighborhood,
and your community. They help protect our waterways by intercepting storm water,
stabilizing soil and using nutrients that would otherwise wash into waterways. Environmental
benefits such as clean air and water. Trees help moderate temperature and muffle noise. They
even help improve air quality by absorbing some airborne compounds that could be harmful
to us, and by giving off oxygen.
Spending time around trees and in nature also makes us healthier and even improves
our students’ academic performances.

Narration of Accomplishment:

After distributing the cards, the class adviser and the parents went to their assigned
area. The seedlings where given by Mrs. Cynthia Medel, Grade 12- Agri Crop adviser. Both
the adviser and the parents were happy in planting trees. Students are also present in the said
activity.

Title of Activity: RECOGNITION DAY

Date: November 6, 2017
Venue: Classroom Based (G8 – Galilei)
Budget Allocation: n/a
Source of Fund: n/a
Objectives:
- To recognize the achievements of the students
-

Expected Number of Participants: 42

Actual Number of Participants: 36

NARRATIVE REPORT

Rationale
If you’re a school teacher, you know that positive student recognition is a great
incentive and motivator of continued student progress and good behavior.
When students are given nothing but negative feedback, they will feel beaten down
and will lack any desire to put forth effort in the classroom. They know their efforts will only
be met with criticism, so why even bother trying?
But when students are given positive feedback and are rewarded for a job well done,
it’s only natural for them to continue to work hard and do their very best. Even the slightest
positive student recognition does wonders for the child’s morale and enthusiasm about school
work and their outlook on school, in general.

Narration of Accomplishment:
The recognition started after the flag ceremony. The class adviser, Mrs. Nathalie Joy
