What is food related ill health?


 Food related ill health is illness causes by the consumption of contaminated food.
 Food is contaminated with harmful bacteria, chemically or with an allergen.

Bacteria needs 4 things to grow:

 Temperature
 Time
 Moisture
 Food item

What is danger zone?


 Bacteria growth optimal temperature.

What temperature Is the danger zone in between?

 5-63 degrees.

What happens to bacteria above the danger zone?

 They get heated as in the bacteria denature and it kills the bacteria as in no illness caused.

Describe what food related health is:

 It’s when contamination/allergy is caused and that affects human health and cause illness.

How does bacteria multiply?


 It’s when food is stored in a temperature from 5-63 for a long period of time that’s what
allows bacteria to grow.
