Chasing Chance

Summary

Love comes in different ways.

Letting go might be one of it? Who knows.

 Chapter 1

Eliot parked her car in the nearby parking space, and looked at her watch before moving out of her
car. Held her eyeglasses, as a habit and fixed herself. She's wearing a simple white shirt paired with
a black jeans contrary to her usual fit which is a clean looking tux and her holding a briefcase.

She entered the pub and was welcomed by a man, "Attorney Perez is waiting for you at the
lounge"

Eliot nodded her head, and went to their usual spot. She then saw Nyx on their usual spot, and she
saw her wave at her, again she nodded her head as acknowledgement.

"Eli!" Nyx shouted like a kid, and Eliot just shook her head.

"I told you not to call me that" reklamo niya agad as she sat beside her bestfriend slash co-worker.

"Oh sorry, si Chancy lang pala pwedeng tumawag sayo ng Eli. My bad, sige ulit

Hello Attorney Eliot Frost Walcien!" Nyx said, but Eliot scowled at her. "What?" she asked
laughing.

"Whatever" Eliot just said, she's used to her bestfriend like this.

"Oh bakit? Hindi ba kayo okay ng girl friend mo?" Nyx asked, teasing.

Eliot looked at her, "She's not my girlfriend"

Nyx pretended she's shocked, "Talaga ba? hindi mo siya girl friend? may space yon uy, babaeng
kaibigan -- ay pangit din, baka malito ka ulit, basta girl space friend? Hindi din?"

"Alam mo uminom ka na lang, ikaw na nga sinamahan ang dami mo pang dada" Eliot glared at her
dear friend na tinawanan siya.
"Anyway, did you know -- Well, syempre hindi pa wala ka namang pake sa mundo pero since
kaibigan kita -- friend yun ha"

"Parang tanga naman, Nyx." reklamo ni Eliot.

"Ay atat? instinct mo na siguro maging interesado sa mga bagay about Chancy kahit hindi ko pa
nasasabi na about sakanya nga -- Ay, uy nakikinig siya oh." Eliot just made a face na lang kasi
hindi siya titigilan ni Nyx kahit anong gawin niya, "Anyways, Chancy has been offered pala this
big acting project abroad and her management's pushing her to do it since apparently she has
rejected a lot in the past because of a reason I don't know -- We don't know" Eliot clenched her jaw
hearing this but she acted like she didn't care as always.

"Kanino mo to nalaman?" she asked casually.

Nyx shrugged, "We got sources buddy, they just tell us"

"That's violation of privacy, Nyx" There's a difference in her tone, and Nyx raised her brow at her
which later on added with a smirk.

"I was talking about the media E, but oh well you're always protective of Chancy, the Oh-So every
stunning Chancellor Aguirre"

"I'm just --"

"stating a fact, yeah yeah I know but we also both know that you're in love with her but won't
commit because of our company's rules, and you being a goody two shoes will always abide by the
law and anything that's ruled over"

Eliot looked away, and drank her drink bottom's up and asker for another. "It's my job to do so, and
I believe it's for the better to follow the rules. We cannot be tangled up with the show business, and
no dating of clients"

Napailing na lang si Nyx, "I am dating one, Eliot. Nothing has happened."
Eliot sighed, "No offense buddy, I love you and all but may I remind you have a powerful family
backing you up. What could go wrong, right?"

Nyx kept mum as Eliot had a point, "None taken"

"I have to follow the rules buddy. I strived a lot to be where I am now, I cannot be doing reckless
moves for my own benefit" Eliot reasoned out.

"No offense to our firm too but it's the least they can give out of everything you've done though.
You brought them the biggest clients, but the chokehold they have on you is too tight bud. You can
demand, alam mo naman diba?"

"I don't know, Nyx"

"You can start a law firm of your own with your skills, Eliot." Nyx said, and Eliot just stared at her
as if she said something stupid, but she removed her eyes on her and drank again.

"Or you're being a coward, and is afraid to go out of your comfort zone" she added, that made Eliot
look at her swiftly. Kumunot ang noo neto, and Nyx thought she was in trouble but the creases on
her forehead slowly loosend out, and she did what Nyx least expected her to do.

Eliot looked away, and sadly smiled. "I think so too" she murmured, and drank her way through
the night.

Nyx might have cussed herself a lot of times for saying that.

"What happened to Eli?"

"Chancy! I'm so sorry pero we need to get her home na but she won't budge until she sees you
daw" said Nyx, na problemadong problemado na kasi kanina pa niya gustong maiuwi si Eliot but
she would keep whining and telling, "Let me see Chance muna!"
Chancellor Aguire, Eliot's strength and weakness at the same time. She arrived at the pub wearing
a baseball cap and a mask, she clothed with just a simple white shirt, paired with simple shorts and
a hoodie that she just grabbed as she received Nyx message for help. She could get a scolding from
her manager this morning if she founds out she snuck out but si Eli yan eh and when it comes to the
Chancellor Aguire, Eli comes first.

"Is that Chance?" Eliot murmured, her eyes closed feeling sleepy from the alcohol.

"Pano mo nalaman? nakapikit mata mo ah?" tanong ni Nyx.

"Stupid Nyx, paanong hindi ko malalaman eh naaamoy ko pabango niya and I heard her voice,
stupid" Eliot continued to say with her slured voice.

Sinamaan lang naman siyang tingin ni Nyx, but she wouldn't know and wouldn't actually care
since she's drunk.

"Daming mong sinabi, tara na uwi na tayo. Nandito na si Chancy oh"

"Eh, I'm not going with you. I will go home with Chance"

"Huy! huwag ka makulit, gulo mo te! Uwi na tayo, dami mong ebas!"

"Ehhhh, ayoko sayo Nyx! Ang pangit mo!" Eliot whined and as she opened her eyes, she looked at
Chancy and gave her puppy eyes that made Chancy's heart melt.

Nyx looked at them and covered her mouth in amusement.

"Chancy..."

"Can I take her home, attorney Perez?"

"Hoy iuuwi ka daw, payag ka?" Nyx asked Eliot who scowled at her.
"Ang bobo mo naman magtanong, Nyx. Malamang uuwi ako sakanya, sakanya lang naman ako"
she suddenly said na nagpaawang ng labi ni Nyx, she was offended by the first sentence but
nagulat siya sa sinabi ni Eliot.

"Chancy, the floor is yours!" Nyx comically offered Eliot.

Chancellor Aguirre just smiled at the attorney, and helped Eliot stand on her feet. Nyx just silently
followed, still amazed and amused at how her bestfriend reacted.

"Come to think of it, ngayon mo lang naabutang lasing si attorney IC no?" attorney Ice Candy
minsan tawag ni Nyx kasi daw kahit cold siya, may sweet side siya.

"Yeah, it's amusing actually" she said, and helped Eliot na hindi na nagsasalita na makaupo sa
passenger seat. Nang maka upo siya dito ay she cozied herself even hugging her knees as she
removed her shoes na parang nasa bahay lang. Knockout na si attorney niyo.

"Amusing is an understatement, Chancy" Nyx seriously said, kaya napatingin si Chancy sakanya.

"Yeah, I know ate Nyx" she said and looked at Eliot who's sleeping it off sa loob ng sasakyan niya.

"What time's your flight tomorrow?" Nyx asked.

Again, Chancy looked at her slightly shocked but then again she softly smiled. "flight's at 4 in the
morning -- now that I remember, can we just go sa condo mo ate?"

"Huh, why?"

"Baka kasi It'll be harder for me to leave kapag it's just me and Eli" and she sadly smiled kay Nyx,
just like how Eliot looked earlier. Nyx just felt her heart break from the same look she got. "Atleast
you'll be there when she wake up?" she said, as if pleading for Nyx to say yes.

Nyx cleared her throat, kasi any moment she felt like her voice would crack from the emotions
she's feeling.

Kaya lang naman kasi niya inaya si Eliot to drink, is to tell her bestfriend news about Chancy
leaving the country. She was supposed to tell her Chancy's leaving but she told her the toned down
news instead kasi kahit hindi naman sabihin ni Eliot, masakit naman yun for her. Having the love
of your life close to you, but can't do anything about it because of certain circumstances.

"What made you accept the casting offer, Chancy? you've been declining everything so far?"

"I... I realized I was being selfish, I just want to be close to Eli and see her everyday pero I think
I'm just making it hard for the both of us at this point.

I'm not dumb, I know she's always taking a step back for me and I keep taking a step forward. She
wants to do the same but the options for her are tied down. I can do everything I want, but she
can't, and so I decided I'm stepping back this time giving her room to breathe while I'm away"

Eliot woke up like clockwork some time this morning, she sat up from the bed end and looked at
her phone. Freshened her mind up as she closed her eyes, and later on looked at the empty side of
the queen sized bed. She kept mum for a while as she looked at it, and she felt her phone buzz
that's why she looked at it. Her eyes quivered from the notifcation and just stared at it.

"Oh gising ka na pala" said Nyx, looking at Eliot who has her eyes fixated at her phone.

"She was here"

"Ano? did you say something?"

"Chance was here with me"

"Yeah?" Nyx asked confused.

"and now she's not" she said, and looked at the news of Chancellor Aguirre's flight to London.
 Part 2

It has been a week since Chancy left for London, and it has also been a week that Nyx feels so
weirded out by how calm Eliot was. Well, she's always like that but this type of calm she's sporting
feels so different for her. It feels like that anytime soon Eliot would burst.

"Okay ka lang ba, talaga?" Nyx asked her bestfriend who's reading all the documents on her table,
apparently hindi pa siya umuwi since last night.

Eliot just looked at her, and went back to reading. "For the nth time, yes I am fine Nyx."

"Okay?"

Eliot paused and then looked at her bestfriend. "Look, I may not be the most open person but I'm
really doing fine. I'm just trying to finish this thing, it's kind of a big case kaya I'm focusing then
after this I'll live like a normal person again. We good?"

"What do you mean live like a normal person? You're never normal, Frosty"

Eliot just lazily looked at her and raised her middle finger at Nyx. "Fuck off, Nyx. Kanina pa nag ri
ring phone mo, sagutin mo na yan"

"Hala gagu, hindi ko napansin! Alright, saka na ulit kita guguluhin, bye panget!"

Napa-iling na lang si Eliot, and smiled at her bestfriend's antics. Life has been kind of bearable
having Nyx by your side, she's the fun part of Eliot's life.
Eliot then went back with what she was doing, reading documents and then typing something on
her laptop.

Her phone then lit up, and once again she was interrupted from what she was doing. She then
opened her phone to look at the notification, she stared at it until she felt satisfied enough. After
double tapping, she let go of her phone and went back from what she was doing.

"You have never talked about attorney Eliot for a while now, and it's creeping me out" Marionnete
Martinez , Chancy's manager.

Chancy looked at her, "I've been busy"

"Na-ah, shooting starts a week from now. You have nothing to do, or did you mean you're trying to
make yourself busy to not think of her – Actually, what does even being busy have to do with not
talking about Eliot?"

Chancy pouted like a little kid, "I was just trying to keep my mind off of things. Now that I'm here,
I realized how hard it is to be away."

"you mean away from attorney Eliot?"

Chancy sighed heavily and dropped her head on the table. "Yes! away from Eli. I wanna go back
home!" her voice muffled.

"Anong gagawin mo kapag nagpunta siya dito?" Marion suddenly asked, kaya napa-angat ng ulo si
Chancy.
"Nothing, because that's impossible in the first place. Eli's busy with her life as it is, why would she
come visit me here?"

"I don't know, because she loves you?"

Chancy stared, and pursed her lips. "But love alone sometimes is not enough"

"Chancy…"

"Enough with this na nga, I'm just making myself sad. I'll go back to my room na, just call me na
lang if I'm needed"

"Alright, take a rest"

"Thanks!"

"Eli…" sinamaan agad ng tingin ni Eliot si Nyx, "--iot, Eto naman hindi ko pa naman kasi
natatapos banggitin pangalan?"

"Ewan ko sayo"

"Hindi mo ba nami miss?" Nyx asked.

"miss na miss"

"Ah, miss na miss — What?!"

"I miss her nga" Eliot said again, and Nyx just looked at her like she's speaking alien. "Ano?"

Tumayo si Nyx, at hinawakan ang magkabilang pisngi ni Eliot at ginalaw galaw ang ulo na parang
ine inspect, Eliot just raised her brow at her until niyugyog siya ni Nyx. "Ilabas mo yung kaibigan
kong in-denial!"

Eliot then wiggled Nyx's hold on her and glared. "Tangina mo, nakakahilo"

"Miss mo nga?"

"Oo nga!"

"Weh?"

"Bahala ka sa buhay mo"

"Eh bakit hindi mo puntahan?" she said and drank some water.

"bukas, I'll go to London bukas–" Hindi na naituloy ni Eliot ang sasabihin nang mapapikit siya
dahil sa pagbulwak ng tubig sa kanyang mukha.
"tangina mo Eliot, dino dogshow mo ba ako?" Nyx said na para pang offended, kahit siya na yung
ginawang mali.

Kumuha lang naman si Eliot ng pamunas at pinunasan ang mukha before saying, "No? pupunta
nga ako bukas. I finished all of the things I needed to do here, I also handed my resignation —"

"Your what?!"

"I resigned?" Eliot said, making Nyx's lips part from all the information she's heard. "I also talked
to some people here and there kaya I've been busy the past week. I've taken into consideration
everything we talked about sa pub Nyx and realized you had a point" Eliot shrugged like it was
nothing.

"Iba pala sa pakiramdam kapag malayo ka sa mahal mo, akala ko kasi kaya ko. Yun pala kinakaya
ko kasi nasa malapit lang siya"

"puta naman frost" Nyx suddenly cussed.

Nagulat nung una si Eli pero dahan dahan ding natawa, "What?"

"tangina mo"

"Ano?" natatawa pa din si Eli.

"putangina mo, eliot frost panindigan mo damidamin ko" she said, tapos mukha na siyang iiyak.
Eliot just continued laughing at her friend and even handed her a tissue kasi teary-eyed na talaga si
Nyx.

"Anong nangyari? narealize mo bang sobrang tanga mo? ganon ba?" syempre si Nyx yan kahit
iiyak na yan ganyan pa din ka gago ang bibig.

Eliot raised her middle finger at her friend, tama naman din kaso si Nyx aminado naman siyang
tanga nga siya.

"Totoo talaga kasi yung saka mo lang ma re realize yung halaga ng tao kapag malayo siya sayo"
Nyx added.

Eliot nodded "That's why I was satisfied sa setup namin, kasi she's near. I can always feel her
around without me even asking for it, pero–" she sighed, "the moment I realized she wouldn't be
here me with anymore, parang nahilo ako and I internally broke down without me knowing– does
that make sense? akala ko okay ako that same day of her flight pero nasanay lang pala ako na
linlangin sarili ko na sapat na sakin kung anong meron kami."

Nyx proudly smiled at her friend. "Proud of you buddy pero tangina mo talaga, pag magbabalita ka
yung pa suspense naman sana hindi yung tuloy tuloy kang may pasabog!"

"Ang dami mong alam, tanga"

"Attorney ako, dapat marami akong alam kung hindi edi bat pa ako attorney diba— Oh bakit mo
ibabato yang mug?!"

"hindi kasi magseryoso parang ewan naman to, gawin kaya kitang bangkay"
"eto naman hindi mabiro kahit kelan, kurutin kita diyan eh" Nyx said, but Eliot just rolled her eyes
at her. "You said you resigned, ano na balak mo?"

Eliot shrugged, "Wala, maging non showbiz girlfriend?"

Nyx stared at her for a second, and then laughed at her friend. "Gago! ang benta mo don, tangina
mo talaga eliot frost"

"Tuwang tuwa ka naman masyado. Ewan ko din, ayusin ko muna kung anong meron kami ni
Chance and then I'll set up a law firm siguro? I don't know when though, basta uunahin ko muna si
Chance."

"grabe naman this lovergirl, pakiss nga"

"ulul"

"labyu 2 beh"

"I talked to her father na though"

"Huh? ano? talked to who?" naningkit ang mga mata ni Nyx.

"Chance's dad? Mr. Arthur Aguirre? our biggest client"

"grabe ka na talaga eliot frost"

"kanina ka pa sa pangalan ko"

"eh ano naman eliot frost, ikaw nga kanina ka pa nanggugulat sige na ano pa sasabihin mo na
ikakagulat ko pa? baka nakakagulat din pinag-usapan niyo ni Mr. Aguirre, game na drop it. What
did you talk about?"

"uh, marriage?"

Again, Nyx's jaw dropped. "anak ka ng—"

"I was kidding, calm down – but who knows?"

"weh? alam mo na din mag joke? iba talaga nagagawa ng in-love na balak ng panagutan —" hindi
na natapos ni Nyx ang sasabihin niya dahil tumayo si Eliot para sakalin siya.

Have you ever experience hallucinating, yung tipong nakikita mo na yung taong gusto mong
makita sa kakaisip.

That's exactly how Chancy is feeling right now, as she stared at a certain part of the coffee shop
she's in. Konti na lang at iisipin niyang nag late minute flight siya pauwi kagabi at hindi niya yon
maalala, dahil feel niya ay nasa Pilipinas siya at nasa kabilang dulo lamang ng coffee shop si Eli
who's calmly sipping her coffee reading the morning newspaper like she usually does dahil
"boomer" daw siya sabi ni Nyx.
Dahil na din sa pagkamiss niya dito ay hindi niya napigilang tumayo at lumapit sa kinauupuan ni
Eli. Eli saw her na palapit sakanya at tinitigan lamang siya at hinintay ang susunod nitong gagawin
ngayon nasa harap na niya ito. Hindi na din niya napigilang iangat ang mga mata sa dilag na
tamang nakatayo lamang sa harap niya na parang nakakita ng multo, probably not even realizing
what she's done.

Eli stayed like that, well not until Chance's hands reached her face and cupped her cheeks which
she later on pinched. Kaya pa naman niya sana yon i-endure but Chance's has a lot of force exerted
in that motion kaya naman napangiwi si Eli at hinawakan ang kamay ni Chance na dahan dahan
inalis,

"I understand that you're making sure I'm real but no shit Chance but that pinch did hurt"

Hindi nagsalita si Chance for a minute, but when she realized that it was really Eli she covered her
mouth and Eli was sure enough Chance screamed a loud oh my god. Buti na lang she rented the
coffee shop, Eli called Marion early in the morning who was as well as shocked but Eli just told
her she was here for Chance and nada nada. She asked Marion to tell Chance to go to this nearby
coffee shop na medyo tago din and it has the vibes Chance would like. Chance likes coffee.

Chance then lightly poked Eli's cheeks, making Eli smile.

"You're really here" Chance murmured.

Eli smiled, and her eyes wandered, noticing Chance's untangled shoelace. She then went out of her
chair and bent in front of Chance to tie them.

"There" she mumbled to herself and stood up, meeting Chance eye to eye who looked at her
confused.

"Eli"
"hmm?"

"Why are you here? — Look, I'm all over the moon that you are but care to tell me why all of a
sudden you're here in London on a random day when you're supposed to be in the Philippines."

"Wala ka doon, Chance. Wala ka sa Pilipinas, paano ko maipapakita sayo yung gusto kong ipakita
kung wala ka sa piling ko?"

"What do you mean, Eli?"

"I'm chasing Chance"

Chance still looked at Eli, totally confused.

"I'm here to love you"

 Part 3

It's weird.

It feels weird, really weird.

That's how Chancy has been feeling for the past few days of her stay in London.

Well it's all because of one person, Eli.

She's not complaining though, just that everything feels new to her from the casual texts she
receives from Eli has been a 180 degree change. It was always emails and any other sh*t that's
formal and well constructed but now it's all raw, scattered, and open thoughts that don't feel like
Eli

to the frequent visits she receives from her and would take her out to the skirts of London just to
show her really aesthetic coffee shops that she herself haven't really been to.

Also! It just doesn't feel real at all.

"Marion" she called for her manager's attention who was about to sip from her coffee, but then
looked at her and raised her brow at her. "Do you see her?" she asked, pointing at Eli who was
reading her newspaper as usual who then raised her eyes and looked at Chancy.

Marion rolled her eyes, and said "Honey, for the nth time yes! Attorney Eliot, the love of your life
—" Chancy blushed, and Eli secretly smiled, raising her newspaper just a little bit higher and
acting like she's reading. "—Yes, she's real" Marion's third-wheeling, yes.

Chancy looked back at Eli who was already staring at her. "Yes milady?" Eli asked like that
because she knew the effect on Chancy, who then looked away, Eli smiled to herself. "May I be
excused? I just need to go to the comfort room" Eli then said, as she let go of the piece of paper in
her hands.

"O-okay" Chancy stuttered, and Marion snorted.

Chancy bit her lip, and just focused herself on her phone. She opened instagram and posted a photo
she took earlier. After it was posted, Eli's phone lit up and vibrated.

"itschancy uploaded a photo"

She didn't mean to look at it, her eyes just did.

Her eyes stayed there, even when Eli already came back. She noticed Chancy's eyes on her phone,
"What is it?"

Chancy looked at her, "Y-you, your notifications are turned on to mine?" It may look like it is a
very simple thing, like Chancy's making a big deal out of it but Eli before made sure on telling
Chancy that the only thing they'd ever cross paths are on legal terms, as in as an attorney and a
client.

"Yes" Eli simply answered.

"Since when?"

Eli thought of it, since when nga ba? She parted her lips, just to close it again. She then sighed.

"I don't actually know exactly when but, it was the only thing that didn't feel like a private thing
between us so it's the least that I allowed myself to be close to you?"
Marion felt like she's not supposed to hear this.

"I love it, I love seeing you post photos of you with your beautiful smile and as if you're telling
everyone how your day went. I liked reading about your thoughts, I don't know I just loved
everything"

"Sorry if I can't be exact but —

It was when I started loving everything about you and, You. "

It never stopped for Chancy to find new things about Eli, and when she thought there couldn't be
anything that would shock her more but not until this day when they're having a phone call with
Nyx.

"Chancy! did you know? Alam mo ngayon ko lang din to nalaman pero yang jowa – ay jowa na
ba? ah basta dun din naman pupunta – anyway! your Eli, just stole our law firm's biggest client
after she resigned and our ceo is furious as hell"

Chancy just looked at Eli, who's looking as innocent as ever and when she realized who
Berkley&Fletcher Law Firm's biggest client is the Aguirre Co. which is her dad's, her eyes widened
at Eli.

Eli cleared her throat, ready to defend herself.

"First of all, I did not steal anything. I was offered to do something I cannot decline. I went to see
your dad, Mr. Aguirre only to talk about my intentions of you, meaning my intentions of pursuing
you. I gotta have his approval about it and he told me he'll only allow it, for one thing. — for me to
resign from our Law firm, and be the head of Aguirre Co. legal team"

Chancy's jaw dropped, "You didn't need to do that Eli! I'll talk to dad —"

"There's no need for that, Chance. It's not a bad offer, and it's not like I just agreed to it on a whim.
I had like 3 days to think about it, and to be honest it's a pretty good deal. I'll probably have fun
handling the company's legal matters"

"Baliw talaga to, laging ngang mahirap mga ganap ng kompanya ng daddy ni Chancy kasi
business matters, anong fun don?!"

"It's fun naman talaga!"

"Sus, pero umamin ka nga panget alam ko namang hindi sapat yan as a deciding factor eh, anong
deciding factor pre? Wag kang pa showbiz ha, sampalin kita eh"

Chancy actually wanted to know, if it's because of the offer or because of her.

Eli sighed as if fed up of her bestfriend's chismosa self.

"Hindi naman ako sasagot ng pa showbiz, that was yung Eli noon. I learned my lesson now,

and to answer your question.

Of course, it was all Chance. She's the main reason why, and the other things are just things… if
that made sense. Ah basta!"

Eli didn't notice that Chance was already smiling at her while she was saying those words. Nang
matapos niya iyong isagot ay ngumiti na lang din siya kahit nahihiya siya kasi the way she worded
it eh is that her goal is Chancy, only Chancy.

"Putang*na mo, ELIOT FROST PANAGUTAN MO KILI —"

Eli ended the call, that's why.

Chancy's shooting started, but nothing changed. Eli still texts her, or facetimes her (Chancy says if
they're gonna talk on the phone, they at least have to see each other's faces daw)

Eli wasn't actually idling, she would get calls from Aguirre's legal team for legal advice which she
would sometimes work on when she has the time.

Parang ngayon, she just finished working on something kaya she decided to reward herself of a
visit to Chancy's shooting location (oo, that's reward for her. As per her, she has been Chancy
deprived for 2 consecutive days. Lol)

As she was fixing everything, she received a message that the food she ordered for the whole team
had been delivered. She then just shoved her phone back and drove to the shooting site.

She was really excited to see Chancy you know, a big smile plastered on her face just imagining
her face but as soon as she arrived at the shooting site with flowers on her hand. She suddenly just
stood there, did nothing.

Why?

Because she was staring at Chancy and her co-actor all smiles and everything. He even tapped her
shoulder, and said something that maybe made her laugh.

"Attorney!"

Her senses came back when someone called for her. Marion did.

she turned her head at her, "Hello Marion" she said.

"Kanina ka pa?"

"No, just arrived" Marion nodded and noticed Chancy coming kaya she excused herself din agad.
Alam naman kasi niyang need nila mag moment.

"Eli!"

Like a reflex, she turned her head to Chancy and smiled as if nothing happened. (Chancy stopped
talking to her co-actor when she heard Marion say Attorney, her co-actor followed her with his
eyes though)

"Hey" she said, and like a motor reflex she turned her eyes to her co-actor who was looking at them
with eyes full of curiosity. (This is the first time Eliot visited the set)
"Eli?" Chancy asked, but Eli continued looking at his direction which made Chancy look at what
direction it was too. Nagbalik balik ang tingin ni Chancy kay Eli and Tobias (yes, that's his name)
and when she decided to look only at Eli, she met her eyes.

"Sorry? were you saying somethi—" Eli actually realized she was staring so long, and wanted to
put her attention back to Chancy, well get Chancy her attention back to her actually, but what
happened was a looooot greater for her.

Chancy knew what those stares were, it's what she had always felt when she sees Eli work with her
co-attorney's who she knew has feelings for her. She was easy to like, Eli has all of the traits you
like of a person and Eli would have liked anyone else but her. Eli really made sure to tell her you
know? That it's probably hard for them to be together, even though they had feelings for each
other.

Chancy kissed Eli.

She cupped her face and gave her a full kiss, that's what she did.

"Is this for me?" Chancy asked Eli, pointing at the flowers.

Eli was a blinking mess, "Y-yeah" she managed to answer and give it to her.

"Thank you, Eli" she then smiled, "but can you hold it for me for now, I have to go back and shoot
pa eh. You can go with Marion muna" she casually said.

"Yeah, I think I'll do that" she said, trying to look at Chancy with all her might.

"Okay" and she went back to filming.

Eli pursed her lips, dumbfounded.

"Attorney"

"Y-yeah?"

Marion saw everything, and is trying her best not to tease Eli who's looking so flushed which is her
first time seeing.

"Let's go to Chancy's dressing room"

"Alright"

"Or we can stay and watch Chancy's kissing scene? "

"Huh…?"

"Chancy's kissing scene?"

"Let's go"

"you'll watch?"
"I meant Chance's dressing room, Is it this way?" she asked, pointing to the right and already was
walking.

"It's on the other side, Attorney"

and Eli comically did a u-turn.

Marion was actually fascinated to see Eli act childishly, walking with stomping her feet a little too
much with flowers on her hand. Mukha tuloy siyang may tantrums.

"Chancy, win it all. Win it all, girl"

It's Chancy's day off, and she's with Eli.

She should feel happy BUT

Eli's there, in front of her but it doesn't feel like she's there either.

For the reason that Eli's busy with work, she's in front of her laptop brows furrowed reading with
her eyeglass on.

Chancy doesn't feel like complaining at all also, Eli spares time for her most of the time kaya she
feels like it's too much if she'll complain but she couldn't contain the sigh she suddenly let out
which definitely caught Eli's attention.
"I'm sorry, something just really came up"

"Nooo, don't be Eli" Chancy felt apologetic when she heard Eli apologize, she felt like she's being
childish.

Eli then pursed her lips, deciding. Chancy just watched her.

Eli then pushed her glasses up and closed her laptop.

"Are you done with work?" Chancy asked.

"No, but I can do that later"

"But—"

"Shh, it's just a work habit. I actually have to apologize for working when you took the liberty to
ask me out today. It's something I need to fix, since I intend to wife you up. I can't have you being
grumpy with my work schedules."

"W-wife me what? H-hindi pa nga t-tayo?!" Napatagalog na nga.

"You mean, we're not girlfriends yet, no? Genuine question, do we really have to? — Just to be
clear, I'm not pertaining to being girlfriends or asking someone to be official, a small thing" she
cleared. "But if you ask me now, I would say yes on a whim but — okay, wait." she pursed her lips
and her eyes moved as if she was realizing something, "— Well, that's just me? Did you want it to
be something big? us being girlfriends? I mean, I was saving the big thing by asking you to marry
me but may I hear your thoughts? What do you say baby?"
Word by word, each second passing everything Eli said made Chancy's brain short circuit. She said
everything like it's asking if she wants her egg scrambled or a sunny side up, and she's in front of
her waiting for her answer like a little kid, all looking naive.

marry? girlfriends? wife? baby?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!

"Eli"

"Hmmm?"

"Did you ever have past relationships?"

"romantic?"

"Yes? I mean what else?"

"Friendship? I had friends in the past, but yeah they all left because I was an asshole, and as you
see Nyx's the only one left. She's the one who actually told me face to face that I was an asshole,
anyways – No, I don't have past romantic relationships. You're the first one I liked, and currently
I'm in love with — also, will continue to be in love with "

"How do you say those words, easily?" Chancy said, in a whisper.

But, Eli heard it and smiled. "Because it's easy when you actually let yourself just be yourself. I
know that I'm in love with you, and so I am in love with you. No less, but more…
— I'm sorry, was I being too much?"

"No Eli, you never were — but maybe I'm just being overwhelmed but a good kind and I'm loving
it

— being in love with you, that is "

Chancy smiled, "Eli, let's be official"

Eli smiled, "Okay"

"Girlfriends?"

"Girlfriends."
 Part 4

Eli was busy reading the documents sent to her as usual, she's alone in her apartment and since she
had work to do she couldn't visit Chancy at her shooting location which Chancy understands
naman, of course.

"Nyx, send me the documents na lang ulit"

"Okay boss"

"Tigil mo yan"

"uy hi Chancy!"

"parang tanga naman, busy yun sa filming wag mo akong nilolo —"

Eli was so focused on what she was doing that she didn't notice someone was behind her, and so
she felt something soft on her cheek that made her halt from what she was about to say and look
behind her.

Her furrowed eyebrows became relaxed once she found out who it was.

"Aren't you supposed to be filming?" she asked, stretching her arms for her to hold Chancy's
hands.

" babe, what time do you think it is?" Chancy deadpaned.

"Time? isn't it around lunch — Oh" she was looking at her watch, and grinned at Chancy.

"You haven't eaten yet then?"

"Yeah, I didn't notice — obviously. How about you? Kumain ka na ba ng dinner? I'll cook, what do
you want?"

"As much as I love your cooking, let's eat out. You haven't eaten yet, wag ka na magpagod — and
no buts, Eli. I'll drive"

Magrereklamo pa kasi sana siya, "Okay po" sabi niya na lang.

Nyx cleared her throat, "Ang understanding mo naman, attorney"

Eli just looked at her bestfriend, and raised her middle finger.

"Hi ate, we'll go eat muna"

"bye Nyx"

"bye lovebirds, have a great night!"

Shooting for the day is done, and so Chancy starts to bid her goodbye to her co-actors and the staff.
She was about to take a step but she received a text from Eli — "Chancy?" It was Tobias.

"Oh hi? What is it?"

"Do you need a lift? I don't see Marion anywhere — I can give you a lift" Marion went on another
errand, which is okay since someone's going to take Chancy home din lang instead of her.

Chancy smiled, "It's okay, my girlfriend just texted me that she's already here"

"Girlfriend?" Tobias asked, he didn't know since Chancy doesn't openly talk about Eli, and Eli
does not visit often but if she does they're professional at keeping things private between them.

"Yes, Attorney Eliot Walcien. Sorry, I'll have to go now — I'll see you tomorrow, Tob!"

"Y-yeah"

Eli was waiting outside her car, her hands inside the pocket of her pants. A minute later, Chancy
came out running to her with a grin on her face and gave her a peck on her lips.

"Hi!" she excitedly said.

"Hey baby , you're too energetic for someone who just had a filming schedule for about 10 hours?"
she amusedly said.
Chancy just shrugged as she went inside the car when Eli opened the door for her. "You're the first
one I see after a tiring day, of course I'll be this energetic." She said grinning which made Eli smile
too.

"How was your day?" Eli asked, as she finally drove her car.

Chancy pursed her lips, thinking if there's anything special she could share. "Eh, there's nothing
new naman since I was just filming. You saw the script naman na din so I'm sure you know what
scene I filmed"

Eli smiled, "I just want to hear your voice, It doesn't matter if I know what you've been doing for
the day" and then she offered her free hand kay Chancy, Chancy likes to fiddle kasi.

Chancy blushed, kahit naman kasi it's been a while they've been together alam niya sa sarili niya it
will take a while to get used to how different Eli is now. "How about you? You've been busy since
yesterday right? I'm sorry for taking up your time, you should've been resting"

Eli shook her head, "It's fine, alam mo I thought lovers are just being corny when they say they feel
rested when they're with the person they love but being in those same shoes it really does wonders
pala when you're with with your person." Eli looked at Chancy and smiled, "It feels calm when I'm
with you, you make everything easy for me, you know what I mean?"

"No?" Chancy had this grin on her face when Eli turned her head to her.

"Sure, whatever."

"Eh! ituloy mo!" Chancy whined.

Eli chuckled, "I love being with you, and I love you"

Chancy was busy on her phone trying to pick which photo she should post on her social media
accounts, Eli was just right beside her. Chancy was swiping on her gallery, and Eli was just
looking at her photos. "That" Eli told Chancy who looked at her. "You look beautiful in that photo,
baby" For some reason, naging very vocal na si Eli sa mga bagay bagay when it comes to Chancy
which sometimes hindi kinakaya ng kanyang nobya.

Chancy just stared at her for a moment, and decided to post it without saying anything. Once it was
posted, Eli's phone that was on the table lit up. Chancy stared at it. " babe, not to be nosy or
anything but —" she paused, " —no pala, it's nothing"

"You can look through my phone" said Eli as if reading what was on Chancy's mind. "if that's what
you were about to say" she added.

"Really? don't other people get annoyed when you know—"

Eli smiled, "I don't mind, baby. Wala naman akong itinatago"

"Okay" Chancy simply answered, and so Eli handed her the phone.

"Passcode is 248844477733 pala" Eli added.

"What does that mean? it's pretty long?"

"Pretty kasi siya"

"What?"

"If you have a business phone or something that has a keypad, you'll know right away." of course
Chancy wouldn't know. "Apelyido mo, here look" and then Eli brought out her business phone, and
taught Chancy how it works.

Chancy acted like it was nothing, pero she's about to combust with her feelings. "S-since when?"
she curiously asked but she didn't get an answer, kasi Eli shyly smiled lang.

Chancy smiled in return na lang, and proceeded to open the notification from her post, "do you
post anything here?" she asked, not expecting anything as she clicked Eli's profile, but sabi nga nila
expect the unexpected because there were tons of posts sa account ni Eli. "Eh? there's a lot? What
are these though? Coffee reviews? Since when were you a coffee lover? I thought you only liked
yours black?" sunod sunod na tanong ni Chancy as she opened each posts.

"I'm not"

"Eh?"

"Are those not familiar to you?" Eli asked, and Chancy went back looking at the coffee posts until
she realized as she looked at Eli.

"These are my recommendations—"

Eli nodded, "Yes, I tried everything and went to the cafes you said where to try them"

"But why? you don't like coffee combinations—"

"But you love them"

"Eli…"

Eli chuckled, "I just wanted to try, and indulge myself in your world kahit sa ganoong paraan. Diba
I said before na I don't intend to be in your world, pero I guess in a way I gaslit myself na it's okay
to try since you recommended it to everyone and not just for me" and napahawak siya sa batok
niya, it's how you know Eli's is being shy. "Kaso ngayon, nasasabayan na kita kasi I developed a
thing for coffee kasi I have you with me almost always. Pero siguro if everything was the way it
was before, inaabangan ko pa din siguro mga coffee recos mo and trying them— h-hey why are
you getting teary-eyed?"

"I-ikaw kasi" Chancy managed to say kahit she was being overwhelmed with her emotions na.

"Don't cry na, baby" Eli said as she wiped a lone tear that managed to escape from her lover's eye.

"All this time, I thought you didn't think of me kahit konti but sorry for the term but you're such a
loser pala" Natawa na lang si Eli kasi hindi magtugma yung intention ni Chancy, crying while
mocking her.

"I'm your loser, I know" she told Chancy while laughing at the thought. Tama naman kasi siya.

"What's your favorite though?" Eli laughed once again kasi naman naiyak tapos biglang ganon ang
tanong.
Chancy whined, "I'm still your usual basic person, my favorite is white chocolate mocha pa din"
Chancy hummed naman, satisfied with her answer. "Okay ka na?" Eli asked when Chancy's
feelings seemed to subside.

"Eli"

"Yes , baby?"

"Can I recommend you?" she asked, and it's Eli's time to be confused.

"What?"

"I want to recommend a love like you"

It was Chancy's way of asking to officially introduce her to her world.

Eli smiled, and slowly nodded her head.

"Only if you say I'm salty and sweet"

Eli was busy on the phone talking to a certain friend. "Is it okay na si Nyx muna maghandle? I'm
kind of loaded talaga ngayon"

"Yeah, it's fine. Sorry, I forgot you're in London pala ngayon! Finally got your girl?"

Eli smiled to herself, "Yes" she simply answered.

"Very good, attorney! buti naman at ginamit mo na ng maayos utak mo kala ko need ka pang i-
untog eh"

"Fuck off, Evan. You're not slick, swerte ka lang you're girlfriend's Cassy"

"Fiance"

"What?"

"Fiance, engaged? ano? need mo ba ng untog?"

"Since when?"

"Last week? It's all over social media bud, what do you mean since wh— Ah, you live under a rock
pala, anyways whatever, propose ka na din ba?"
"May sapak ka ba sa ulo? We just started being in a relationship?"

"Stupid! Hindi na kayo bata Eliot Frost Walcien, magkakilala na kayo for like what? a whole four?
five years? going six na nga eh no? Oh God, tagal mo na palang nagpapakatanga?"

"Gago ka ba?"

"Slight"

"Baliw, pano ka natatagalan ni Cassy?"

"crush na crush kasi ako non, you know the feeling naman eh. Mahal na mahal mo yung tao kaso
masyado kang matalino, naging tanga ka tuloy"

"Once I see you, I'm gonna slap your face real hard"

"See you sa wedding ko then!"

"Fine, whatever. Why just now though? the malicious comments have been going on forever na
ah?"

"I changed my mind, I want the best for my fiance so I'll start taking legal actions na like you said
nga it has been going on forever na and maybe things like that has to end na. You know what I
mean"

"Alright, I'll talk to Nyx asap then"

"Thanks buddy! — Evo, I can't find my phone baby — Oh sorry, you're talking to someone pala. —
It's fine, we're about to be done naman na, it's Eli — Oh, Hi Eli!"

"Hello soon to be Mrs. Waraha" she heard Cass chuckle.

"Talk to you some other time ulit Eli, say Hi to Chancy for me!"

"Will do"

"Bye! — Bye na din Eliot, gonna help looking for some lost phone pa haha"

"Aight, bye lovebirds" and then she went back in front of her laptop, doing her usual things. She
laid back when she felt the strain on her eyes, and then proceeded to massage her temple with her
eyes closed. She didn't notice na din na Chancy was inside of her apartment.

"babe"

Napamulat naman ng mata si Eli at inikot ang swivel chair niya, Chancy smiled as she found Eli
cute looking at her innocently caused by her tiredness na din.

"Tired?" Chancy asked nung makalapit siya, and quickly gave a peck kay Eli as a greeting.

Eli raised her head looking up to her girl, and just stared at her for a minute. "What?" natatawang
tanong ni Chancy.
Eli just shook her head, and proceeded to pull Chancy by the waist and then she enveloped her
arms around it. Chancy just smiled, and then caressed Eli's hair.

"Who would've thought that Attorney Walcien can be this adorable? If I tell anybody this, they
might not even believe me, babe " Chancy said.

"Sayo lang naman ako ganto" Eli said, voice muffled but Chancy clearly heard it making her
blush.

"As you should" she simply replied, masking her true feelings. "I'll wash up lang, and order us food
na lang please?"

Eli reluctantly let go of the hug, and nodded. "All your clothes are in the wash though? Use my
clothes muna?"

"Sure babe"

"Have you heard from Evan?" Chancy asked, popping the popcorn in her mouth, they were lazily
slouched on the sofa, Chancy sat in between Eli's legs.

"Yes, why?" Eli asked, and repositioned para mas maging comfortable si Chancy.

"Cass called last time eh, I forgot to tell you lang"

"Ay yeah, Evan already told me about the legal matters. I told her si Nyx muna ang bahala since
I'm loaded with the corp's legal matters at the moment"

Chancy looked up to her at her position, Eli curiously looked back at her. "Pinapagod ka ba ni
Dad?" she asked na nakakunot ang noo.

Eli on a daily basis would have just simply said No, but she smiled and shook her head. "No, and if
may papagod man sakin it's your dad's competitors na sakit din ng ulo ng dad mo. They just do
stupid things kasi when they feel lost"

"Bad things?" Mas ngumiti na naman si Eli sa term na ginamit ni Chancy, very "kid" term kasi.

"Yes, illegal things"

"For a very serious matter to talk about, may I ask why are you smiling ear to ear?" natanong na
lang ni Chancy.

Eli chuckled, "It's because I find you adorable" she answered, and just from that Chancy blush that
made her look away.

"How so?" Chancy asked.

"It just feels like you were asking from a kid's perspective, I mean with the words you use and how
you would look at me when asking" Eli simply replied, and then pursed her lips. "Well, it's
probably understandable kasi you're my baby"

At dahil don, napaayos ng upo si Chancy and looked at Eli. "Eli naman eh" she whined.
"What?" natatawang tanong ni Eli na hinila palapit si Chancy.

"You're doing it on purpose! palibhasa you know how to woo me!"

"palibhasa, wow alam mo yun?"

"Eli!"

"Kidding, halika na balik ka na pagkakahiga sakin. I'm already longing for your warmth "

And with that, Chancy did her the favor.

"Be thankful I love you" Chancy mumbled as she settled.

Eli chuckled, "I love you most"

"Evan and Cass are engaged, have you heard?"

Eli felt Chancy nod and take her hand to fiddle, hinayaan lang naman siya nito. "Of course babe,
Chancy and I talked nga diba? and it's all over social media kaya? — Oh yeah, I forgot you don't go
around your social media you boomer"

"In my defense, I do look around social media — only when it's about you"
"Good, then"

"Now I'm a dog?"

"I didn't say anything about you being a dog, you took that out of my mouth your honor" Chancy
said, that made Eli shut up for a bit. Chancy smiled, she knew Eli was up to thinking when she
went silent but all she did was click her tongue instead. "No rebuttal? Miss. Grim Reaper?" she
teased, but what she didn't expect happened that made her squeal.

Eli's now on top of her.

"W-what?" Chancy asked because Eli was just looking down at her.

"Masyado ka nang nakakalamang Miss Top actress" she said looking down at Chancy who was
surprised at what Eli just did.

"I was just teasing, Eli" she said in a monotone trying to mask her nervousness.

Eli smiled, hearing that little tremble in her voice. Little by little, Eli lowered her head and as she
got closer Chancy closed her eyes in anticipation but to her expectation, none came but a small
giggle and a whisper.

"I was just teasing, too"

She heard Eli whisper, making her eyes shoot wide open to a grinning Eli. Sa pag-angat ng ulo ni
Eli ay siyang pagkunot din ng noo ni Chancy.
One thing about Chancy? Asar-talo yan, minsan lang din naman mang-asar si Eli but those times
naiinis talaga si Chancy.

Another thing, sa kahit anong pangyayari iaayon at iaayon niya sa kanyang kagustuhan ang
mangyayari (In reasonable moments, of course)

Kaya naman, hindi niya na hinayaan pang maiangat ni Eli ang kanyang ulo at walang pasabing
pinaglapat na ang kanilang mga labi.

Gulat man ang naramdaman ni Eli sa una, pagkatapos ng ilang sigundo ay kanyang binalik ang
pabor ang pinantayan ang mga mapupusok na halik ng kanyang binibini.

Unang bumitaw sa mainit na halikan si Chancy, at napatitig lamang si Eli.

"You're breathless already? I thought we're about to make babies na Chancy ?" (Eli likes to call her
Chancy sometimes, cute daw eh.)

Namula naman si Chancy sa narinig, at itinulak si Eli dahilan upang mahulog siya. Sinamaan lang
naman siya ng tingin ni Chancy dahil sa tawang niya pagkalakas. Kinuha ni Chancy ang unan at
ibinato sa kanyang mukha at tumayo't naglakad sa kanilang kwarto.

Agad namang tumayo si Eli upang habulin ito, at nang makaabot ay siyang pagbuhat nito sa
kanyang nobya na dahilan upang tumili ito.

"baby time!"
"Eli!!!"

PS: No Top actress (bottom tonight, I guess?) has been harmed from the night activities!
