1. What is the text all about?

It’s all about what will happen to our life when we are facing challenges/problems. Life can be
rough like the sea. The brilliance necessary for life is not there because in life even the most
important things are lost. However, in the end there will be a resolution for the battle(problem)
to end.

2. What is the setting referred to or described in the text?

The setting is in the coastline of Ilocos that is experiencing the battering restlessness of the sea.

3. Who is the audience of the text?

It might be someone watching the beach at Gabu that is experiencing hardships those days,
looking to the sea, contemplating life. The sea reminds his/herself that is experiencing
restlessness in life.

4. How would you describe the reader/audience of the text read in terms of skills, values, beliefs
and attitudes?
It might be the reader/audience wants to know more about life, a life full of challenges. The
poem is like a comfort to him/her, when he/she is about to give up in life the poem might serve
as a comfort to them. I can tell that the person who’s reading the poem has intelligence to
understand the deep meaning of the poem.

5. Why was the text written? What does it hope to achieve among its readers/audience?
As what I have read, the text was written for us to be aware on how life is. There’s always a
rough time in life and we must not give up because there will be a way for everything. The text
hopes to give us comfort during our hardtimes. It wants us to believe that if the sea can find
stability once it meets the shore, we can find it too.
